문화간 감수성 관련 연구동향

국문 초록

연구의 목적은 문화간 감수성과 관련된 국내 연구들의 전반적인 동향 및 연구의 내용을 분석함으로써 문화 다양성의 시대에 필수적인 요소로 확인된 문화간 감수성의 중요성을 재확인하고, 본 연구의 분석결과를 바탕으로 후속연구에의 시사점을 도출하는 것이다. 문화간 감수성의 연구동향은 연도별, 연구주제별, 연구유형별, 연구대상별, 측정도구, 관련변인측면에서 살펴보았으며, 최근을 기준으로 10년간의 문화간 감수성 관련 연구를 중심으로 하여 총 67편의 국내 연구동향을 분석하였다. 문화간 감수성의 연구동향을 살펴본 결과에 기초하여 후속 연구에서 검토해야할 내용을 제시하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 연구방법측면에서 더욱 다양하고 체계적인 방법을 활용한 연구가 필요하다. 둘째, 연구대상의 영역을 확대하는 것이 필요하며, 셋째, 문화간 감수성과 다문화수용성의 개념이 혼동되어 사용되고 있으므로 그 개념을 명확하게 규정하여 종합적인 관점에서 두 영역의 개념을 연계한 연구가 이루어질 필요가 있을 것이다. 문화간 감수성 연구는 현대다문화 사회의 중요성을 반영하는 중요한 개념으로 그 필요성이 점점 더 부각되고 있기 때문에 향후 문화간 감수성의 연구에서는 다양한 방법과 주제들로 연구들이 많이 수행되어 문화간 감수성을 함양할 수 있는 기반이 될 것으로 기대한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of the study was to reaffirm the importance of intercultural sensitivity as essential elements of the era of cultural diversity by analyzing the general trends of contents of the studies relating to intercultrual sensitivity and to suggest the implications for future research based on the study results. The research trends of intercultural sensitivity were analyzed by years, themes, research subject, measuring scales, and related variables. The research trends of 67 articles for 10 years in Korea was analyzed. The suggestions for future research were summarized as follows: First, More various and systematic research was needed in relation to research method. Second, research subjects need to be expanded. Third, research linking two definitions of intercultural sensitivity and cultural acceptability from comprehensive perspective was necessary by eliminating the confusing usages of the two terms. This study expects the foundational contributions to the cultivation of intercultural sensitivity by implementing studies with various methods and topics in the future research as studies on intercultural sensitivity are emerging as an important concept reflecting the importance of current multicultural society.
