학기 초 만 3세 유치원 학급의 효율적인 운영을 위한 실행연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 효율적인 학기 초 만 3세 학급 운영 방안을 모색하여 실행하고, 유아와 교사에게 미치는 영향을 알아보는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 본 연구는 2017년 2월 15일부터 2017년 5월 18일까지 경기도 A시에 소재한 사립유치원 만 3세 학급에서 이루어졌으며, 연구 대상은 만 3세 학급 유아 20명, 담임교사 1명, 부담임 교사 1명이다. 연구 중 비디오 녹화, 음성 녹음, 관찰 후 일화 기록의 방법으로 자료를 수집하여 분석하였다. 학기 초 만 3세 유치원 학급의 효율적인 운영 방안은 첫째, 유아-교사 간의 친밀한 관계 형성하기, 만 3세 유아에 적합한 활동을 구성하기, 가정과 연계하여 정보를 공유하기였다. 둘째, 학급 내 긍정적인 또래 관계 지원하기, 학급 내 유아들의 발달 특성에 맞도록 교육과정을 재구성하기였다. 셋째, 유치원 생활에 필요한 규칙 지도하기, 교사에게 나타난 내외적인 어려움을 분석하고 해결하기였다. 그 결과 유아는 학기 초 유치원을 긍정적으로 인식하게 되었고 사회적 기술 습득을 기반으로 한 원만한 또래 관계를 형성할 수 있게 되었으며, 유치원 생활에 필요한 규칙을 습득하고 자율적인 태도가 함양되었다. 또한 교사는 학기 초 유치원 만 3세 학급 담임 교사로서 알맞은 다양한 역할을 파악하여 이를 수행할 수 있게 되었으며 만 3세 유아에게 효과적인 생활 지도 방법을 이해하여 실천할 수 있게 되었고, 적합한 교육과정을 수립하여 교사로서의 전문성을 신장할 수 있게 되어 긍정적인 효과를 가져왔다. 본 연구를 통해 만 3세 학급 담임 경험이 부족하여 느끼는 어려움에 대해 방향을 제시하고 그에 대한 다양한 방안을 마련하는데 도움이 될 수 있기를 기대한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to ascertain ways to effectively run a 3-year-old class at the beginning of the school semester and to investigate the effects the teachers have on children. The research was conducted from February 15, 2017 to May 18, 2017, in a Gyeonggi provincebased private kindergarten, with twenty 3-year-old children. The methods to effectively manage a kindergarten class at the beginning of the semester were as follows. First, establish intimate relationship between the child and the teacher, devise activities that are appropriate for the 3-year-olds, and share information with the children’s parents. Second, support positive peer relationships in the classroom and reform the curriculum to tailor to the developmental characteristics of the children. Third, instruct children of necessary kindergarten rules, and analyze and solve the difficulties teachers have. As a result, the children came to recognize kindergarten positively at the beginning of the semester. They also formed good peer relationship based on previously acquired social skills, internalized necessary kindergarten rules, and developed independence. In addition, teachers were able to identify and perform various roles as 3-year-old classroom teachers at the beginning of the semester. They also were able to understand and practice effective teaching methods for the 3-year-olds, and expanded professionalism by constructing relevant educational curriculum for the children. It is expected that this study will be of great avail in presenting useful direction to home room teachers who are facing difficulties arising from lack of experience.
