내러티브에 기초한 역량기반 통합단원 개발의 예비적 탐색

국문 초록

지식기반사회의 도래와 지식의 계속적인 증가에 따라 짧은 단위 수업시간에 다양한 교과목에 내재되어 있는 지식, 기능, 가치를 다루기 위해서는 교육과정의 통합이 필요하다. 통합도 기존의 경험 중심보다는 학습자의 선행 지식과 맥락에서 접근이 가능하도록 내러티브에 기초한 통합이 필요하다. 또한 내러티브 통합단원은 역량에 기반을 해야 한다. 최근 교육학계에서 많은 관심을 받고 있지만 역량의 뜻과 의미, 외국의 사례만 제시되었고, 교과목에 적용한 연구는 부족하다는 한계점을 갖고 있다. 이에 본 연구의 목적은 내러티브에 기초한 역량기반의 통합단원 개발을 위한 에예비적 탐색에 있다. 문헌 연구결과 내러티브는 수업의 소재, 내용, 시간, 인식도구로서 다양한 기능이 있었으며 교육과정의 목적, 내용, 방법, 평가와도 연관성을 갖고 있다. 이러한 내러티브 통합단원이 역량에 기반하여 개발될 경우 미래사회의 개인과 사회적인 삶에서 성공적인 역할을 할 수 있는 능력을 함양해 줄 수 있을 것이다. 내러티브와 역량기반 통합단원을 접목한 설계의 절차는 단원목표 설정, 내러티브 맥락을 교육과정과 연결짓기, 내러티브 목표필터로 교육과정 성취기준 확인하기, 학습 경험 선정과 조직하기, 평가 증거 선정하기의 단계로 구성된다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to develop competence-based integrative unit based on narrative at elementary schools. Narrative is the way to understand human life experience from the view of Bruner. The narrative appears as curriculum in schooling. We can reconstruct a curriculum using narrative. There are many ways to use narrative in education, but this study focuses on developing a competence-based integrate unit based on narrative. And competence-based approach has been gaining attention recently, related to appropriate method for curriculum design in the 21st century. So this study are to analyze the competence-based curriculum and to seek implication for education goals in korea and other countries(New Zealand, Great Britain, Canada). In this study, the competency means learner competence, social competence, learning method competence. This study covers theoretical background of narrative and competence-based integrated unit firstly. Secondly, it suggests the way to develop a competence-based integrated unit based on narrative that is avail in practice. Consequently, it discusses the effect of developed units and the process integrative unit model based on narrative. Applying competence-based integrative unit based on narrative, students achieve learner competence, social competence, learner competence.
