어머니의 코칭역량이 유아의 행복감에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 어머니의 코칭역량이 유아의 행복감에 미치는 영향과 유아의 자율성 수준에 따라 어머니의 코칭역량이 유아의 행복감에 미치는 영향력이 달라 질 수 있기에 조절효과를 분석하는데 있다. 이를 위해 대구지역에 소재한 유치원에 재원중인 만 5세 유아 290명과 그의 어머니 290명을 분석대상으로 하였다. 자료분석은 SPSS 21.0을 사용하여 Pearson의 상관관계분석과 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 어머니의 배경적 변인과 코칭역량과의 상관관계에서 어머니의 학력, 부모교육경험, 수입이 높을수록 어머니의 코칭역량이 높은 것으로 나타났고, 어머니의 코칭역량과 유아의 행복감은 긍정적인 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 어머니의 코칭역량이 유아의 행복감에 미치는 영향을 살펴본 결과, 실행역량, 관계역량, 의식역량 순으로 유아의 행복감에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 어머니의 코칭역량이 유아의 행복감에 미치는 영향에서 유아의 자율성 조절효과를 살펴본 결과, 유아의 자율성 6가지 하위요소 중 유아의 자발성, 추구성, 우월성에서 조절효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 어머니의 코칭역량을 향상시킬 수 있는 부모교육 및 부모코칭프로그램 개발을 위한 자료를 제공하고 부모가 자녀와의 관계에서 코칭역량을 원활히 수행하고 유아의 자율성을 높일 수 있도록 도움으로써 유아의 행복감을 증진시키는 방안을 모색하는데 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

This study aims at investigating the effects of mothers’ coaching ability on their children’s happiness and the moderating effects of young children’s autonomy. This study collected data from 290 children who were 5 years old and attended in kindergarten in Daegu city and 290 mothers of theirs. Data analysis conducted Pearson’s correlation and multiple regression analyses using SPSS 21.0. For exploring effects of mothers’ coaching capability on their children’s happiness and the modulating effects of young children’s autonomy, multiple regression analysis was conducted. The findings were as follows: 1) the variables of mothers’ educational backgrounds, parental training experiences, and their incomes were positively and significantly related with their coaching capabilities. 2) Mothers’ coaching capabilities had significant effects on their children’s happiness. Among the subcategories execution capability had the highest effect and then, relation and consciousness capabilities follows in order. 3) Children’s spontaneity, pursuit, and superiority among the six subcategories of children’s autonomy had significant moderating effects on children’s happiness. This study provides useful data for developing parental training programs that can facilitate and improve parents’ coaching capability for improving their children’s happiness.
