요양보호사의 전문성 인식에 관한 고찰

국문 초록

2008년 7월 우리나라는 고령화 시대를 대비하고, 이로 인한 문제를 해결하기 위해 장기요양보험제도가 실시되었다. 또한, 이 제도를 위해서 이전의 요양서비스 인력을 국가자격증 체제로 통합한 요양보호사가 탄생되었다. 하지만 제도 시행 초 요양보호사들은 직업적인 안정성이나 업무영역에서 불완전한 상태에 있으며, 직업에 대한 사회적인 인식도 부족한 것이 현실이다. 그러나 요양보험의 운영형태나 추구하는 목표를 볼 때 요양보호사는 필연적으로 전문성을 갖추어야 한다는 당위성을 가지고 있다. 이러한 견지에서 본 연구는 요양보호사의 전문성 인식에 영향을 미치는 요인에 대해 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 요양보호사의 인구사회학적 요인과 직무환경 요인과 전문성을 인식하는 척도에 대한 자료를 분석하였다. 이렇게 분석된 결과를 가지고 요양보호사의 전문직업성을 높일 수 있는 방안이 무엇인지를 모색해 보았고, 아울러 요양서비스 현장에서 요양대상자를 위해 힘겹게 근무하고 있는 요양보호사의 직무만족도를 향상시킬 수 있는 방법이 무엇인지 근거를 제시하고자 하는 목적을 가지고 연구를 진행하였다. 연구 결과를 토대로 본 연구에서는 요양보호사의 전문직업성을 향상시키고, 직업만족도를 높이기 위해 정책 및 요양보호사 스스로 개선할 부분이 무엇인지를 밝히고, 앞으로 나아가야할 방향을 언급하였다.

영문 초록

In Republic of Korea, Long-term care insurance system has carried into effect since 7, 2008 for Aged period and solving the problem about it. For the case of this system caregivers, integrating the former nursing service staffs into public qualification, was born. But in this system caregivers' vocational stability or business management remains unstable. In addition, social recognition of the vocation is not yet satisfied in reality. However, from the point of view of management systems of care insurance or pursuing object, caregivers must necessarily have a professionalism. In this respect my research shows that what factors have an effect on recognition of professionalism of caregivers. This research conducted that both Personal characteristics factors and Work environment factors are independent variable and the indexes of recognition of professionalism are dependent variableit, analyzing two correlation mentioned above. Within analyzed results I found a way to improve professionalism and proceeded research about improving Job satisfaction of caregivers According to survey, work environment factors have an less influence on workload or compensation than expectation, while relationship of business nature -such as skill- and recipients of caregivers have an more influence on recognition of professionalism. Based on these results main research reveal that to improve professionalism and job satisfaction what policy is needed and caregivers themselves must try to improve ways.
