성격진단도구로서 만다라의 색채상징 활용가능성 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 만다라에 나타난 색채상징과 5요인 성격특성과의 관계를 분석하여, 만다라에 나타난 색채상징의 성격진단도구로서의 활용가능성을 살펴보고자 하는데 연구의 목적이 있다. 연구대상은 서울시에 소재한 대학교 학생 373명(남: 118명, 여: 255명)으로 측정도구는 만다라(Mandara)와 성 격 5요인 척도(International Personality Item Pool: IPIP)를 사용하였다. 수집된 자료처리는 SPSS 12.0 프로그램을 이용하여 빈도분석(frequency analysis), 기술통계분석(descriptive statistic analysis), t-검증(independent samples t-test)과 일원분산분석(one-way anova)을 실시하였으며, 사후검 증으로 Scheeffe's test를 실시하였다. 본 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대학생의 만다라에 표현된 색채상징이 대학생의 성격특성을 반영 하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 대학생의 성격특성을 진단함에 있어서, 만다라의 색채상징에 기반한 진단의 활용 가능성을 검증하였다.

영문 초록

The aim of this research was to investigate applicability of color symbolization in mandala as personality diagnosis tool, by analyzing relation between color symbolization in mandala and Big Five Factors of personality. As the subjects, 373 students of colleges in Seoul(male:118, female:255) were selected, and Mandala and International Personality Item Pool (IPIP) were used as the measurement tool, For processing of the collected data, frequency analysis, descriptive statistical analysis, independent samples t-test and one-way ANOVA were performed using SPSS 12.0 program, and as post test, Scheffe's test was performed. Major result of this research is as follows. First, color symbolization in college students mandala appeared to reflect college students' personality characteristics. Second, this research verified applicability of diagnosis based on color symbolization of mandala in respect to diagnosing college students' personality characteristics.
