공동체 기반의 예술치료를 통한 국내 아프리카 난민 여성들의 외상치유에 대한 집단사례연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 공동체 기반의 예술치료를 적용하여 국내 아프리카 난민 여성들이 외상을 치유해 나가는 과정과 국내에 잘 알려져 있지 않는 아프리카 난민들의 생활과 심리를 사례연구를 통해 알아보고자 했다. 연구대상은 국내에 있는 9명의 아프리카 난민 여성들을 대상으로 프로그램은 2013년 9월부터 11월까지 실시하였다. 총 8회 기 중 7회기는 집단 프로그램을 매주 2시간 30분씩 실시하였고, 마지막 8회기는 커뮤니티 발표회를 실시하였다. 회기별, 사례별 질적 분석을 한 결과 공동체 기반의 예술치료가 참여자로 하여금 안전함을 경험하고, 신체적으 로 이완되고, 즐거움과 기쁨을 경험한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 외상적 경험을 표출하고 애도하면서 그동안 억눌 렸던 아픔들을 조금씩 해소해 나가고 자신의 삶과 재연결되면서 외상이 치유되는 과정을 경험했다. 특히, 커뮤 니티 파티를 통해 그동안 작업한 미술작품 사진을 전시하고 가족들과 친구들을 초대함으로써 공동체의 지지를 받고 함께 연결되는 경험을 했다. 본 연구의 의의는 국내에 잘 알려지지 않은 아프리카 난민 여성들의 생활과 심리 및 문제에 대해서 조사하고, 공동체 기반의 다각적 접근을 적용했다는 점, 선행 연구가 전무한 국내에 체 류 중인 난민들을 위한 심리치료 프로그램에 대한 하나의 모델을 제시했다. 이는 이후에 국내 난민 공동체 프 로그램 개발에 기초자료가 되는데 연구의 의의가 있다고 본다.

영문 초록

The Purpose of this study is to investigate the process of trauma healing for African Refugee Wowen, who are not well known in South Korea, through the Community-Based Art Therapy, as well as the their outer and inner world. The study participants were 9 African refugee women in Korea. This program was conducted once a week for 2 hours and a half in the total 8 session from September to November, 2013. Among the 8 sessions, 7 sessions were the group therapy and last session was the community exhibition. The result of the qualitative analysis research are as follows. Through the community-based art therapy, they experienced safety, relaxed body, pleasure and delight. In addition, They released the supressed pain little by little through expressing and mourning the traumatized experience, and then became healed the trauma by relating to their own life. Expecially, they invited their friends and family, and exhibited their own art works and African dancing performance in community exhibition. During that time, they were supported by their friends and family, which led to connect to their community. This study also showed their outer and inner world in Korea, which has not been well-known. This research can be primary data for next developing programs of refugee people.
