성학대 피해 아동의 외상 후 스트레스 감소를 위한 미술치료 사례

국문 초록

본 연구는 미술치료가 성학대 피해 아동의 외상 후 스트레스(post traumatic stress)에 미치는 효과를 알아보는데 그 목적이 있다. 구체적인 연구문제는 미술치료가 성학 대 피해아동의 외상 후 스트레스로 인한 문제행동과 자존감에 어떤 효과가 있는지 얄아보는 것이다. 연구대상은 K시의 초등학교 3학년에 재학 중인 만 9세의 성학대를 받 은 여아로 때06년 12윌 28일부터 2007년 3윌 15일까지 총 19회기의 미술치료 프로그램을 실시하였다. 측정도구는 부모용 문제행동 평정척도와 자존감 척도, 그리고 자화상과 동적가족화(KFD)를 통한 투사검 사를 사용하였으며 미술치료 사전 · 사후의 변화를 비교하였다. 본 연구 결과는 첫째, 미술치료가 성학대 피해아동의 외상 후 스트레스로 인한 문제행동을 감소시키는데 효과가 있었고 둘째, 미술치료가 성학대 피해아동의 자존감을 향상시키는데 효과가 있었으며 특히 가정에서의 자존감이 크게 향상되었다 결론적으로 미술치료는 성학대 피해 아동이 겪는 외상 후 스트레스를 감소시켜 외상 이전의 모습으로 회복되는데 도움이 되었다고 하겠다. 이 연구결과를 통하여 미술치료의 중재 효과와 함께 아동의 정서적 바탕이 되는 화목한 가정이 성학대로 인한 외상 후 스트레스로부터 아동의 회복을 가속화 시킴을 알 수 있으며, 부모의 지속적인 관심과 사랑이 앞으로 오랜기간 겪게 될 침투적 사고를 줄일 수 있을 것이라고 생각한다.

영문 초록

This study is to check if art therapy can help reduce the post traumatic stress of a child who was victimized from sexual abuse and, in particular, what effects art therapy can bring onto the child\'s self-esteem and problem behavior caused by the post traumatic stress disorder. The study subject is a nine year old girl, third-year student in elementary school, who was sexually abused previously. She had a total of 19 art therapy sessions from December 28， 2006 to March 15, 2007. The measurement tools are Standard Rating for Problem Behavior (Parent Version), Measurement for Self-Esteem, Projection Tests through Self-Portrait and KFD, and Comparative Changes between Pre- and Post-test. The results obtained from the study are as follows. First, art therapy is effective in reducing the child victim\'s problem behavior caused from her post traumatic stress. Second, art therapy helps improve the victimized child\'s self-esteem, especially her self-esteem at home. In conclusion, it can be said that an art therapeutic treatment for a sexually abused child would help the abused victim recover herself by reducing her PTSD through art therapeutic sessions. This study suggests also that not only the intervention of art therapy but the continuous parental and family support will help the child with sexual abuse to overcome her intrusive thoughts, including obsessive and compulsive thinking or behavior, that she has to deal with for a long time.
