현실요법 집단미술치료가 비행청소년의 인성에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 시설에 수감되어 있는 비행청소년의 인성특성에 현실요법을 적용한 집단미술치료가 어떤 영향을 미치는지 알아보고자 하였다. 연구의 대상은 D광역시에 소재한 E정보통신중고등학교의 남자 청소년들이다. 연구의 연구도구는 W. Glasser와 C. Floyd 박사가 개발한 청소년 집단상담프로그램인 Y.Q.M.T를 번안한 “우리가 만드는 좋은 세상”을 기본으로 하여 본 연구자가 개발하여 사용하였다. 연구의 결과는 첫째, 임상척도는 유의미한 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났으며, 둘째, 일탈행동특성에 서는 하위영역인 동조성과 모방성에서 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 셋째, 일반특성에 서는 하위영역인 책임성과 자아존중감에서 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 현실요법 집단미술치료 진행과정에서 집단초기의 비난하면서 무시하는 태도가 서로 배려하며 이해하려는 태 도와 지지해 주는 모습으로 바뀌었고, 자신의 생각을 자신 있게 발표하고, 불확실한 꿈을 좀 더 구체화시켜 미래를 설계할 수 있게 되었다. 결론적으로 시설에 수감되어 있는 비행청소년들에게 현실요법을 적용한 집단미술치료는 창작을 통해 감정표출과 성취감을 경험하고, 선택이론을 통해 최선의 선택과 선택에 대한 책임감을 학습하는 과정에서 모방성과 동조성을 감소시키고 책임감과 자아존중감을 향상시키는데 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이 결과를 볼 때, 본 연구는 비행청소년을 대상으로 현실요법과 집단미술치료를 접목한 프로그램을 실시하여 비행청소년의 비행예방과 비행 재발을 방지할 수 있는 기초 자료를 제시하였다는 점에 의의를 둘 수 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to make inquires about how a group art therapy with reality therapy would effect on personality or characteristics of juvenile delinquents who are confined in correction facilities. The study subjects are male adolescents attending the E Info- Communications High School, and are presently under the section 6 probation because of their commitment to criminal acts. The research instruments used in this study include Y. O. M. T., an adolescent group counselling program, developed by W. Glasser & C. Floyd, which is in turn translated as “Making a world in which we love to live” and other criteria I made. The results of the study are as follows. First, there is no significant difference in clinical characteristics index. Second, there shows some significant difference in synchronism and imitation, both of which are subcategories of deviation characteristics. Third, there appears a significant difference in a sense of responsibility and self esteem as subcategories of general characteristics. Fourth, there has been an attitude change from blames and disregard at early sessions of the group therapy to understandings and consideration of others at later sessions of the therapy. Also juveniles become able to express their opinions with confidence and to plan their future with more concrete dreams. As a result, for juvenile delinquents confined in correction facilities, a group art therapy with reality therapy works in a way that the therapy lets the juvenile express their feelings through creative activity and experience a sense of accomplishment, in the sense that they choose the best possibility by learning a selection theory and feel a sense of responsibility for what they choose, and to the extent that the therapy sessions are effective to help the juveniles reduce imitation and synchronism but reinforce responsibility and self esteem. Consequently, the value of this study lies on the fact that a reality therapy group art therapy
