국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 대학생의 인지된 지역사회무질서와 우울의 관계에서 부모관계의 완충효과를 실증적으로 검증하기 위한 것이다. 지역사회무질서는 사회․경제적 불평등을 야기하고 정신건강에도 악영향을 끼친다는 점에서 사회진보를 위해 해결해야 할 과제이다. 이에 본 연구는 지역사회무질서가 우울감에 부정적 영향을 미치며 이를 완화시키는데 부모애착의 중요성을 강조한다. 본 연구는 이를 위해『한국청소년패널』6차년도 자료를 활용하였다. 분석결과, 첫째, 지역사회무질서는 우울에 부정인 영향을 미쳤으며 둘째, 부모관계 중에서는 부모애착이 부적인 영향을, 부모갈등이 정적인 영향을 미쳤으나 부모감독은 통계적으로 유의미한 결과를 보이지 않았다. 셋째, 이러한 분석결과는 사회․인구학적 배경변인을 통제한 상태에서도 통계적으로 유의미함을 유지하였다. 마지막으로 지역사회무질서와 우울의 관계에서 부모애착만이 완충효과를 보였다. 즉 지역사회무질서가 우울에 정적인 영향을 미치는 과정에서 부모애착수준이 높으면 우울의 크기를 상쇄할 수 있음을 확인하였다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 지역사회무질서가 우울에 영향을 주는데 있어서 부모관계 중에서도 부모애착이 중요한 사회적 지지의 역할을 한다는 것을 실증적인 검증 결과로 보여주었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to demonstrate empirically the moderating effects of parental relationships in the relationship between neighborhood disorder and depression. Neighborhood disorder is a problem to be solved for social progress in that it causes socioeconomic inequality and adversely affects mental health. Therefore, this study emphasizes the importance of parent attachment in mitigating the negative effects of depression in neighborhood disorder. we used data from the 6th year of the “Korean Youth Panel” for the second year middle school students. The results of the analysis were as follows: First, neighborhood disorder had a negative effect on depression. Second, parental attachment had a negative effect on parental attachment among social and psychological factors. But not significant. Third, the results of this analysis maintained statistical significance even under the control of socio-economic variables. Finally, only parent attachment showed a moderating effect on the relationship between the neighborhood disorder and the depression. In other words, it is confirmed that when the parental attachment level is high, the size of depression can be offset in the process of the community disorder having a static effect on depression. Therefore, in this study, the results of empirical verification show that parental attachment plays an important social support role in affecting depression in neighborhood disorder.
