국문 초록

이 연구는 미래학교의 구체적인 모델과 이에 대한 실현가능성 탐색을 목적으로 한다. 미래사회에 대응하기 위해 교육체제와 학교시스템을 비판적으로 성찰하고 학생들이 무 엇을 어떻게 배워야 하는가에 대한 적극적이고 구체적인 구상이 필요하다. 이를 위해 이 연구에서는 학교교육의 다양한 실험과 상상의 플랫폼으로서 가능성을 지닌 중심에 서 벗어난 여주라는 지역에 주목하였으며, 먼 미래의 가상의 학교가 아니라 적용 가능 한 새로운 형태의 미래학교 모델을 탐색하였다. 우선 지역기반 미래학교의 방향성 도출을 위해 여주 및 미래학교 관련 문헌 자료를 분석하고, 여주 지역의 교육환경, 문화예술자원, 사회·지리적 맥락을 파악하기 위해 현지조사를 수행하였다. 아울러 여주교육지원청 담당자 및 지역사회 구성원들과의 협 의회와 미래학교 관련 전문가 자문을 통해 구체적인 지역기반 미래학교의 모델을 구상 하였다. 이 연구는 기존 학교교육의 틀과 제도를 깰 수 있는 실험적 사례로서 특정 지역의 맥락을 반영한 미래학교 모델을 제시했다는 점에서 의의를 갖는다. 이는 이 연구가 지 역기반 미래학교의 실험적 구상이 지역의 재생과 학교교육의 한계를 극복하기 위한 의 미 있는 시작이 될 수 있음을 시사한다. 아울러 담론 수준에 머물러 있는 미래학교 논 의를 구체화하는 데 기여할 것이다.

영문 초록

This study aims to seek for specific models of future school. To do this, we focused our attention on Yeoju, a marginalized area with possibilities of a laboratory and imaginary platform for school education. That’s why it is possible to school reform responding future society when we reflect critical on the current school system and plan concrete on what students should learn is needed. Therefore, this study has explored new type of model for future school that could be applied at present. First, we have analyzed the literature data related to Yeoju and future schools to derive the direction of the local based future studies, and the data on education environment, culture, arts, and social and geographical contexts were collected in Yeoju area through local surveys. And we have constructed the regional model of the future school through consultation with the staff of the National Office of Education for Yeoju and its community members by consulting with experts on future schools. This study is significant in that it propose a realistic model for future schools that reflects the context of specific areas as an experimental example. The study could be a meaningful start in overcoming the limitations of local regeneration and school education. It will also help expand future school discussions that remain at the level of discourse.
