국문 초록

음악심리는 특수아동을 이해하고 교육하며 치료하는데 도움이 되는 핵심이라 할 수 있다. 특수아동을 위한 교육의 궁극적인 목적이 통합 환경 속에서도 일반아동과 살아가는데 어려움을 최소화하는 것이라면, 음악교과에서는 다양한 활동 영역이 있으나 효과적인 특수아동의 효과적인 장애개선을 위해서 인간의 마음을 살펴보는 음악심리적 접근이 우선되어져야 할 것이다. 그러나 학교에서는 특수교육에 대하여 특별한 자료, 지도 기술, 장비 및 설비 등 물리적인 부분만을 강조하는 경우가 많다. 이는 특수아동에게는 일반아동에 비하여 독특한 신체적․정서적인 어려움이 있기 때문에 보다 더 준비된 기자재와 특수 관련 서비스가 필요하기도 하다. 음악심리적 접근은 특수아동의 신체적․정서적인 교감과 다양한 치료활동으로 그들의 어려운 여건을 최소화할 뿐만 아니라 잔존 능력을 최대로 키울 수 있는 하나의 방법이다. 그러므로 특수아동에 대한 효과적인 교육이란 단순히 교육 방법의 개선이라기보다는 심리적 접근이 우선되어져야 한다. 따라서 본고에서는 심리 분야에서 유용하게 사용되는 이론들을 살펴본 후 특수아동에게 음악을 통한 심리이론의 적용에 대하여 알아보고자 한다. 이는 특수아동의 장애개선을 위한 하나의 과정으로, 자기표현의 수단, 감정표현 수단 그리고 사회화의 수단으로써 올바른 음악심리 방안을 찾으려는 시도이다. 이러한 음악심리는 특수아동의 무의식적인 정신세계에 기초하여 풍부한 정서적 경험과 자기표현 방법들을 발달시키도록 도움을 줄 수 있기에 의미 있는 활동이라 할 수 있다.

영문 초록

We can say that music psychology is the key to understanding, educating, and caring for handicapped children. If the ultimate purpose of educating handicapped children is to minimize the difficulties they may have in moving with ordinary children in integrated surroundings, then using a music psychological approach to look into the human mind has to be emphasized in music class for the improvement of these special children’s disabled conditions. But most schools focus only on physical factors, such as special data, teaching methods, equipment, facilities, etc. It is no wonder that handicapped children need proper equipment and related special services because of the special physical and emotional difficulties that they have compared to ordinary children. The music psychological approach is a method of maximizing their residual ability and minimizing their difficult condition through the handicapped children`s physical and emotional sympathy and diverse therapeutic activity. Therefore, it would be more efficient to approach the education of handicapped children psychologically rather than to improve upon the existing educational method. This article, I am going to look into the useful theories in the field of psychology and then apply the psychological method to handicapped children through music class. This is an attempt to determine the right music psychological method in the course of improving handicapped children`s disability and their means of self-expression, emotional expression, and socialization. This music psychology is a meaningful activity in that it is based on handicapped children`s unconscious worlds and helps to improve the diversity of emotional experience and methods of self-expression.
