영문 초록

Through the statistical method , this study is intended to investigate the various factors of 7379 cases of out- patients who visited the department of neuropsychiatry , Woo Sok Hospital, Korea Unives ity during the period from Jan , 1st, 1963 until Dec. 31 th , 1972. The results were as follows： 1. The number of the out- patients had increased year after year, especially the cases of psychotic depression increased more remarkably . 2. As to the diagnostic categories of these out patients , it was revealed that the neuroses was the highest rate of 41 .50 % and the other functional psychoses (17. 51% ), schizophrenia (15 .10 %) , epile psy (11 .91 %) were the higher rate in tis order. 3. The ratio of male patient and female patient was 1.0 :1.0 . Among the cases of organic brain syndrom e , epilepsy, schizophrenia and others, male patients had a higher rate than female patients . And in the affective disorders and neuroses, female patients had a higher rate than male patients . 4. As a whole , the peak age of all out- patients was between 30~39years (27 .43 %) , and the organic brain syndrome had the highest mean age of 43 .81 years of all. 5. Generally speaking , educational background showed high educational level. 6. As to the marital status , the married cases occupied 52 .70 % . Among the cases of organic brain syndrome , 72 .05 % of them married . 7. As to the occupational historie s , student was most frequent in the schizophrenia , affectiv e disorders and epilepsy , and house -wife was most frequent in the organic brain syndrome .
