국문 초록

예이츠는 그의 순환적 역사의식과 함께 통합적 존재를 통해 최종적이며 고통스러운 죽음의 공포에서 벗어나 재생의 가능성을 믿고 있다. 또한 죽음에 대한 프로이트적 반응형성을 통해 형성된 가학피학적 성적 욕구와 욕망의 존재를 인정하면서 죽음과 성적 욕망의 통합된 삶의 에너지를 느끼고 표현하고 있다. 이 논문에서는 『3월의 보름달』과 「그의 기억」, 「숲속에서의 그녀의 환상」, 「늙은 미친 제인이 무용수들을 바라본다」 등의 작품에서 공통적으로 나타나고 있는 죽음과 성적 욕망의 통합을 확인하려고 한다.

영문 초록

Yeats believes in the possibility of regeneration through the unified being with his cyclical philosophy of history, freeing himself from the fatal and painful fear of death. In addition, the sadistic-masochistic sexual taste and desire formed through Freudian reaction formation is recognized, and the energy of life from integrated death and sadistic-masochistic sexual desire is expressed in his works. In this paper, we will examine the possibility of unity of death and sexual desire in Yeats’s works such as A Full Moon in March, “His Memories,” “Her Vision in the Wood,” and “Crazy Jane Grown Old Looks at the Dancers.”
