국문 초록
이 글은 2023년 신규 표준어에서 관찰되는 ≪표준≫ 및 ≪우리말샘≫ 사전 표제어의 ‘단어화’ 현상에 주목하고, 이와 연결된 몇 가지 물음을 고찰하는 데에 목적이 있다. 먼저, 단어화한 표준어 및 계열관계 어휘가 사전에 등재된 양상을 비교하면서 단어화 판단의 기준이 무엇일지 탐색하였다. 연구의 발단은 신규 표준어의 단어화 현상을 둘러싼 관심에서 출발하였지만, 규범문법(또는 ≪표준≫ 사전)과 학문문법(기술문법, 이론문법) 두 층위에 대한 명료한 구분, 이를 바라보는 연구자의 태도 등 거시적인 주제로 논의를 확대하였다. 규범문법과 학문문법의 층위를 뚜렷이 인식하고 각 차원에 걸맞은 관련 자료를 수집하고 활용하는 것이 중요하다. 특히 신어와 같은 비표준어를 기술한 연구 보고서는 특정 조사자나 연구팀의 내부 지침에 기댄 결과일 수 있으므로, 즉 엄정하게 관리된 규범문법에 속한 대상이 아니기에 학문문법 연구에서 더욱 정교한 검증이 요구된다.
영문 초록
This paper focuses on the phenomenon of wordization in the headwords of the Standard Dictionary and Woorimalsaem dictionaries, as observed in the new standard words selected in 2023, and explores several related questions. First, by comparing the wordized standard words with related vocabulary entries in the dictionary, the study seeks to explore the criteria for determining wordization. Although the study began with an interest in the wordization of new standard words, the discussion was expanded to broader topics, such as the clear distinction between normative grammar (or dictionary) and academic grammar (descriptive grammar and theoretical grammar), as well as the researcher’s attitude towards these distinctions. It is important to clearly recognize the layers of normative grammar and academic grammar, and to carefully examine and utilize the relevant materials according to each level. Particularly, research reports that describe non-standard words, such as neologisms, may be the result of internal guidelines followed by specific researchers or research teams. Since they do not belong to rigorously managed normative grammar, more precise verification is required in academic grammar studies.
