학문 목적 한국어 학습자를 위한 예비과정 경영학 교재 개발 기초 연구

국문 초록

이 연구는 국내 대학에서 경영 관련 학과에 진학할 외국인 유학생들이 전공에 진입한 후, 학업을 원활하게 수행할 수 있도록 어휘, 읽기, 쓰기 기능을 중심으로 대학 예비과정에서 사용할 교재 개발의 방향을 모색하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 이 연구에서는 학습자들의 한국어 능력 및 학업 수행 능력을 평가하고, 학문 목적 한국어 학습에 대한 인식을 알아보기 위한 예비 조사를 실시하였다. 그 결과, 학습자들은 전공 어휘와 연어 관계에 대한 이해도가 낮음을 확인할 수 있었다. 그리고 시험지 답안지 쓰기에서는 한 문장도 쓰지 못한 채 제출한 학습자가 많았으며, 학문적 쓰기에 대한 배경 지식이 없어 답안지를 어떻게 써야 하는지 모르는 경우도 있었다. 인식 조사 결과에서도 학습자들은 경영학 전공 어휘와 연어 관계를 어려워하고 있음이 드러났다. 그리고 학습자들은 경영학 전공에서 학업을 수행하기 위해 전공 어휘와 쓰기 기능이 가장 중요하며, 경영학 전공을 위한 대학 예비과정이 필요함을 인식하고 있었다. 이상의 평가와 인식 조사 결과를 통해 본고에서는 예비과정에서 사용할 경영학 교재의 개발 방향을 제언하고, 기초 자료를 구축할 수 있었다.

영문 초록

This study aims to suggest directions of developing textbooks in the preparatory course for international students preparing to major in business administration at the university. To this end, this study conducted a preliminary survey to evaluate international learners’ Korean language proficiency and their academic performance, as well as their perception of learning Korean for academic purposes. The survey findings revealed that learners had a limited understanding of business administration vocabulary and collocations. In addition, many learners did not write any sentence on their answer sheet, while some did not even know how to write the answer sheets primarily due to a lack of familiarity with academic writing conventions. The results of the perception survey also revealed that learners have difficulty in collating words related to business administration, recognizing the writing function as one of the most important skills for succeeding in their undergraduate studies, and feeling the necessity of a preliminary university course for international students majoring in business administration. Based on the results of the survey, this paper proposes the directions for development of textbooks in the preparatory course.
