부모의 그림책 읽어주기 방법과 에니어그램 성격유형과의 관계연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 어린 자녀를 둔 부모들의 그림책 읽어주기 방법과 부모의 성격유형과의 관계성을 알아보기 위한 연구를 하였다. 이를 위해 H 연구소의 교육대상 중 기혼상태일 것으로 추정되는 만 20세 이상 교육생 중 수집된 만2세-만5세 자녀가 있는 부모 272명을 대상으로 그림책을 구입하는 경로, 그림책을 읽어주는 시간대, 그림책을 읽어주는 방법에 대한 자료를 수집하였다. 주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 에니어그램 힘의 중심에 따른 그림책을 구입하는 경로에서 배형(행동중심), 머리형(사고중심), 가슴형(감정중심)은 모두 서점에서 직접 구입하는 경우가 많았다. 둘째, 에니어그램 힘의 중심에 따른 자녀에게 그림책을 읽어주는 시간대에서는 가슴형(감정중심)은 유아가 원할 때 그림책을 읽어주고 배형(행동중심)과 머리형(사고중심)은 대부분 자기 전에 그림책을 읽어주었다. 셋째, 에니어그램 힘의 중심에 따른 자녀에게 그림책 읽어주는 방법에서는 배형(행동중심)은 본문을 유아가 알기 쉬운 말로 바꾸거나 길이를 줄여서 읽어주었고, 머리형(사고중심)은 책의 본문을 그대로 읽어주었으며, 가슴형(감정중심)은 동화내용과 관련된 동작과 스킨십을 하며 읽어주는 것으로 나타났다. 결론적으로 부모는 자신의 성격특성에 따른 방식으로 그림책을 읽어주는 경향으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과는 유아기 언어발달을 위해서는 부모 자신이 그림책 읽어주는 방법을 인식하여 통합적(행동, 감정, 사고) 자극이 가능한 방법으로 책을 읽어주어야 한다는 것을 제시하고 있다.

영문 초록

This study’s aim is to explore the relationship between parents’ personality types and their ways of reading picture books to their children. The subjects of this research were 272 parents with children from 2 to 5 years old who were selected by the students over the age of 20 and the data was collected through a survey conducted from March until May. The results were as follows: first, in terms of the path of purchasing picture books according to Enneagram's center of energy, belly centered-types(act-focused), brain-centered types(thought-focused), and heart-centered types(emotion-focused) mostly purchased directly in bookstores. Second, regarding the hours when picture books were read to their infants according to Enneagram's center of energy, heart-centers (emotion-focused) read picture books to their children when they wanted, while belly-centers(act-focused) and brain-centers(thought-focused) mostly read picture books to their children before they went to sleep. Third, for the method of reading aloud to their infants according to Enneagram's center of energy, belly-centers(act-focused) read story books by changing the text into words that would be easily understood by their infants or reducing the length of the text. Brain-centers (thought-focused) read the text to their children as it was, and heart-centers(emotion-focused) read books to them using gestures and interactive touching related to the contents of fairy tales. In this study, it was found that parents tend to read picture books according to their personalities. I recommend that parents should know their own way to read picture books, and should read books in such a way that promotes behaviors, emotions and thinking as a whole.
