실향민 마을 공동체 구성원들의 학습경험 사례연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 실향민마을 “붉은덕지” 주민들의 삶의 맥락을 이해하고, 그들이 참여하는 공동체 활동 속에서 공동학습이 어떠한 의미로 표출되는지 심층면담과 참여관찰을 통한 질적 사례연구를 실시하여 실향민의 애환이 담긴 학습문화의 의미를 끌어내고자 하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 주민들의 삶의 맥락은 삶속에 체화된 실향이라는 사건을 중심으로 삶이 전개되고 있다는 것을 발견하였다. 둘째, 주민들이 함께 뭉쳐 삶의 응어리를 해소하는 일체감의 정서는 자급자족을 위한 공동체의 역량을 강화해 왔다. 셋째, 고향의 그리움을 이겨내기 위한 삶은 다 함께 어울리는 장으로 변화하는 맥락을 발견하였다. 이러한 맥락을 지닌 공동체 문화는 첫째, 분단의 질곡을 넘어선 학습문화와 그들만의 정체성을 버텨내기 위한 학습문화가 나타났다. 둘째, 삶의 동반자와 뭐라도 함께하자는 공유의 문화와 체화된 아픔을 나누는 공감의 문화를 발견하였다. 셋째, 실존 위기를 극복한 그들은 끝까지 자신들만의 문화 지켜내기 위해 학습활동을 촉진하는 것으로 가난으로 배우지 못했던 배움의 한이 나눔으로 남을 돕는 학습문화로 나타났다. 향후 실향민 및 소외집단에 대한 인식과 문화를 이해함에 있어서 공동학습 연구가 더욱 확장되어야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

This study understands the context of the lives of the residents of ‘Bulgeundukji’, a village for the displaced, and conducts a qualitative case study through in-depth interviews and participant observation to understand the meaning of joint learning in the community activities in which they participate. We attempted to derive the meaning of the learning culture contained in it. The research results are as follows. First, it was discovered that the context of residents' lives unfolds around the event of displacement embodied in their lives. Second, the sentiment of unity in which residents come together to resolve the difficulties of life has strengthened the community's capacity for self-sufficiency. Third, we discovered a context in which life changed into a place where everyone can come together to overcome the longing for home. The community culture in this context firstly emerged as a learning culture that went beyond the constraints of division and a learning culture to sustain its own identity. Second, I discovered a culture of sharing that encourages doing everything together with a life partner and a culture of empathy that shares embodied pain. Third, after overcoming the existential crisis, they promoted learning activities to preserve their own culture until the end, and the regret of not being able to learn due to poverty was transformed into a learning culture of helping others through sharing. In the future, joint learning research should be further expanded in understanding the perception and culture of displaced people and marginalized groups.
