국문 초록

본 연구는 예술의전당 건립이 현악기점 집적에 미치는 영향의 분석을 통해 문화시설과 지역의 관계를 탐색하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 서울시 악기산업 분포 변화에 대한 공간적 분석을 수행하고 예술의전당 건립 이후 기존 악기점 집적지였던 종로구 낙원상가 외에 현악기를 중심으로 하는 새로운 악기점 집적지가 예술의전당 일대에 형성된 것을 확인하 였다. 더불어 예술의전당 일대 현악기점이 집적하는 과정과 요인을 시기별로 나누어 살 펴보고, 현악기점 집적지 형성의 사회공간적 맥락과 성격을 분석하는 방법으로 예술의전 당 건립과 현악기점 집적의 인과 관계를 추론하였다. 본 연구는 예술의전당 건립을 계기로 지역의 도시적 맥락과 문화상품으로서 현악기의 사회적 특성이 결합하면서 문화경제가 출현하는 과정을 다양한 관점에서 분석했다는 점 에서 기존 연구와의 차별성이 있다. 또한 문화시설 건립으로 지역에 사회적·경제적으로 긍정적인 효과를 유발하기 위해서는 복합적인 요인이 작용해야 하며, 문화시설 건립의 추진과 운영에 있어서 종합적인 계획과 고려가 필요하다는 시사점을 제공한다.

영문 초록

This study aims to explore the relationship between cultural facilities and regions by analyzing the impact of the establishment of the Seoul Arts Center on the agglomeration of stringed instrument stores. A spatial analysis of the distribution change of the Seoul musical instrument industry was conducted, and after the establishment of the Seoul Arts Center, it was confirmed that a new musical instrument store agglomeration centered on string instruments was formed in the area of the Seoul Arts Center in addition to Nag-won Shopping Center in Jongno-gu, which was an existing musical instrument store agglomeration. In addition, the process and factors of the agglomeration of stringed instrument stores around the Seoul Arts Center were examined by dividing them by period, and the causal relationship between the establishment of the Seoul Arts Center and the agglomeration of stringed instrument stores was inferred by analyzing the socio-spatial context and characteristics of the formation stringed instrument stores. This study differs from previous studies in that it analyzes the process of cultural economy emergence through the combination of the local urban context and the social characteristics of stringed musical instruments as cultural products from various perspectives. It also suggests that complex factors are required to trigger positive social and economic effects in a region through the construction of cultural facilities, and that comprehensive planning and consideration are needed in the promotion and operation of cultural facilities.
