정신장애인 가족지원 서비스 프로그램을 위한 조사연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 정신장애인과 함께 거주하는 가족들과 서비스 제공자들의 경험과 욕구를 파악하여 정신장애인 가족지원 서비스 프로그램 구성을 위한 방안을 마련하는 것이다. 이를 위해 2020년 8월부터 11월까지 종이와 온라인설문조사를 실시하였으며, 정신장애인 가족 236명, 정신건강관련 기관 종사자 200명의 자료가 최종 분석되었다. 정신건강 서비스 중요도와 정신질환자일상생활 기능 척도를 사용하였으며, 기술통계와 t-검증, F-검증을 활용하였다. 정신장애인 가족과 기관 전문가가 응답한 서비스 중요도는 ‘병의 재발방지를 위한 교육’, ‘정신장애인 상태의 악화, 자살 등 위기상황의 도움’, ‘대인관계 향상을 위한 훈련’, ‘심리 문제해결 및 스트레스 해결’, ‘정신장애인가낮시간을 보낼 수 있는 장소·프로그램’으로 나타났다. 하지만 기관 유형 간에는 차별화된 역할이 나타났다. 정신장애인 지원과 가족에 대한 지원은 가족 단위로 구성되어야 하며, 다양한 기관들의 연계를 통해 연속성을 기반으로 하는 지역사회 서비스가 제공되어야 함을 알 수 있었다. 이를 기반으로정신장애인 가족지원 프로그램 구성을 제언하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to collect basic data for the development of support program for family living with people with mental illness (MI), and to suggest a plan for the family support program in identifying the needs and experiences from families and mental health service providers. This study conducted a paper and online survey from August to November 2020 for the family members and service providers in Busan. A total of 236 family members and 200 service providers were finally analyzed. For data collection, importance of the mental health services and active daily living scales were used, and descriptive statistics, t-test, and F-test were used. The results are as follows. The importance of the services of family and service providers was similar: ‘Education to prevent relapse of MI’, ‘Help in crisis situations (e.g., exacerbation, suicide)’, ‘Training program to improve interpersonal relationship skills’, ‘Psychological problem and stress relief program’, ‘Providing programs where people with MI can spend their daytime’ However, there was a different role between the types of service providers. Finally, supports for people with MI and their families should be organized in a family unit, and mental health services should provide services through the linkage of service providers (not services) based on the concept of continuity of care. Based on the results of the study, implications and future research were discussed.
