조합형금융과 지역경제성장간의 관계

국문 초록

본 연구는 조합형금융이 지역경제성장에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 분석을 위해 1985년부터 2013년 까지 우리나라 7개 광역시와 9개도의 지역별 GRDP, 시중은행과 조합형금융기관의 여신과 수신 자료를 이용하였다. 변수간의 관계를 분석하기 위해 단위근 검정, 공적분 검정, Granger 인과성 검정 및 패널자료 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 인과성 검정에서 도 지역의 경우 금융발전지표와 경제성장지표간에 양방향 인과성이 존재하는 것으로 나타났다. 패널회귀분석에서 시중은행의 경우 인천, 대전, 광주, 경기, 강원 지역에서 금융발전지표가 지역경제성장에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 조합형금융기관경우 부산, 대구 및 인천 지역과 대부분의 도 지역에서 신용공급지표의 계수가 지역경제성장에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 예측되었다 따라서 대부분의 도 지역에서 조합형금융의 원활한 공급이 이루어질 경우 지역경제성장을 선도할 뿐만 아니라 지역경제성장이 다시 조합형금융을 촉진하는 등 시너지 효과도 기대할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

영문 초록

This paper examines the issue of relationship between cooperative-type finance and reginal economic growth. In analysis, used yearly regional GRDP per capita, financial data of commercial banks and cooperative-type financial institutions from 1985 to 2013. For the relationship with variables in analysis, I used Unit root tests, Cointegration test, Granger causality test and Panel data regression analysis. I employ the regression and the causality test between cooperative-type finance and reginal economic growth in Metropolitan City and Do Province. In the Granger causality test, I found that the causality link between cooperative-type finance and regional economic growth in both direction from Do Province. The panel data regression analysis showed that the cooperative-type finance credit supply affect significantly the regional economic growth in almost the whole Do Province. So in Provinces, a supply-leading model is observed whereby regional financial institutions’ funding activities lead to a growth of the regional economy. This implies that an increase in financial services in an Do Province can be effective in promoting its economic growth.
