영문 초록

Bio-industry has experienced fast growth and so has Research and Development sector. The economic efficiency of the bio-industry needs to be analyzed and be compared with other industries and the spill-over effects among companies in the sector or across various industrial sectors. The purpose of the study is centered on analyzing the technical efficiency of the production process and the relationship between the effectiveness factors the technical efficiency by using a stochastic frontier model. In addition, this paper proposes possible government policies or future projects based on this study. In-depth evaluations are necessary to comprehend the efficiency considering the technical gap and the economic environment. Moreover, it is essential to understand the pros and cons of each model allowing for specialized and diversified bio-industry and related sectors. Plus, in future efficiency research of bio-industry distributive efficiency as well as technical efficiency should be taken into account.
