국문 초록

본 연구는 국내 최대 음식배달플랫폼 기업으로 성장한 ‘배달의 민족’의 지속가능 배달 생태계를 위한 실천 사례를 분석한다. 이를 위해 지속가능한 비즈니스 생태계 구축을 위한 음식배달 플랫폼의 다양한 활동의 중요성과 그 역할을 토의하는 것을 목적으로 하고 있다. 연구결과와 시사점은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 업계 1위의 점유율을 가진 배달의민족의 성공에는 외식 산업 배달 생태계의 지속가능성 제고 구축을 위한 진정성 있는 노력이 있었다. 둘째, 배달의민족은 음식점 점주를 위해 ‘배민아카데미’를 설립하여 빠른 트렌드 변화와 경쟁이 치열한 외식업 시장에서 음식점 점주인 사장님들의 점포 운영의 전문성과 경쟁력을 높이고 있다. 셋째, 배달의 민족은 안전한 라이더 환경을 위해 ‘배민라이더스쿨’을 설립하여 체계적인 교육을 제공하고 있다. 마지막으로, 배달의 민족은 고객을 위해 배달 유형, 음식점의 메뉴, 가격 및 리뷰 등의 정보를 제공하여 고객의 선택권을 확대하면서 더 나은 서비스를 제공하고 있다. 본 사례 연구는 음식배달 플랫폼 업계와 배송 서비스 산업에 시사점을 제공하고 있다. 그러나, 본 연구는 실제로 이해관계자의 편익을 정량연구로 분석하지 못한 한계점을 가진다. 따라서, 향후 연구에서는 음식점, 라이더, 소비자 삼자 측면에서의 각자의 편익에 대한 보다 상세한 정량연구가 필요하다.

영문 초록

This study sought to analyze practice cases for a sustainable delivery ecosystem of Baedal Minjok, which has grown into Korea's largest food delivery platform company. To this end, the purpose is to discuss the importance of the role and activities of food delivery platforms in building a sustainable business ecosystem. The research results are as follows. First, the success of Baedal Minjok, which has the largest market share in the industry, is due to its sincere efforts to build a delivery ecosystem in the restaurant industry. Second, Baedal Minjok provides the ‘Baemin Academy’ for restaurant owners to increase their expertise and competitiveness in running their stores in the fast-changing trend and fiercely competitive restaurant industry market. Third, Baedal Minjok established ‘Baemin Rider School’ to provide systematic education for a safe rider environment. Lastly, Baedal Minjok provides customers with information such as delivery type, restaurant menu, price, and reviews to expand customer choice and provide better service. This study provides the above meaningful implications to the food delivery platform industry by analyzing Baedal Minjok's practice cases for a sustainable delivery ecosystem. However, this study has the limitation of not actually analyzing the benefits of stakeholders through quantitative research. Therefore, quantitative research on the benefits from the restaurant, rider, and consumer aspects is needed in future research.
