통일의 당위성 교육 비판

국문 초록

이 글은 통일 의지가 약화하는 현상의 원인을 통일의 당위성 교육에서 찾고자 했다. 이를 위해 첫째, 칸트의 윤리학에 기초해서, 당위성을 정언명령이 지닐 관념 간의 논리적 필연성으로, 필연성을 가언명령이 지닐 존재 간의 주관적 필연성으로, 필요성을 실천에 대한 요구로 개념화해서 비판의 기준으로 삼았다. 둘째, 통일의 당위성 교육의 담론과 논거를 살펴, 민족주의의 민족 동일성과 역사성, 실용주의의 유용성, 보편주의의 목적성과 보편성이 지닌 결함, 한계, 성격들로 인해 당위성에 부합하지 않음을 보여줌으로써 통일 의지 약화의 원인일 수 있음을 증명했다. 셋째, 칸트 윤리학의 자유에 주목하고 자유에 관한 논의를 살핀 후 자유를 재개념화해서, 이 재개념화가 목적성, 보편성, 평등성과 확장성을 더 완전하게 충족하고, 통일과 관념 간의 논리적 필연성의 관계에 있음을 보여주었다. 결론에서 이 재개념화를 통일교육의 목적으로 삼아야 할 것을 주장하였다.

영문 초록

This article aimed at finding the decisive cause of the weakening of will to unification within the educations on the dangweesung(Sollen/justification) of unification itself. To do so, first, based on Kant, this article conceptualized the dangweesung as the logical necessity between ideas and as the categorical imperative. Second, by examining the discourses on the dangweesung of unification could be classified such as nationalism, pragmatism and universalism and their bases, this article showed that these had logical defects, limitations, and characteristics so did not conform to the dangweesung. And it showed as well that such could be the decisive cause of the weakening of will to unification. Third, inspired from Kant who thought of ethics as philosophy on the law of freedom, this article proposed that the redefinition of freedom as self-directed activeness and arbitrariness of soul based on Aristotle after examining the theories on freedom fulfills Kant’s notion of dangweesung. In conclusion, it argued that the redefinition of freedom has the logical necessity on the concept of unification, thus should be the aim of the educations for unification.
