증강현실에 기초한 유아 음악활동의 가능성

국문 초록

연구목적: 본 연구는 증강현실에 기초한 음악활동에서 유아의 반응을 탐색한 연구로 유아교육현장에서 증강현실 음악활동에 대한 가능성을 알아보는데 목적이 있다. 연구방법: 본 연구에는 F시에 위치한 음악중심 활동을 하는 유치원의 만 5세 유아 20명과 교사 1명이 참여하였고, 연구자는 2023년 1월~2월까지 2개월 동안 주 2회씩 참여하여 유아들의 음악활동을 관찰하였다. 자료 수집은 유아의 음악활동을 녹화한 동영상, 관찰 기록지, 교사와의 면담 등을 포함하였다. 기록된 자료를 분석하고 수집된 자료의 내용을 귀납적으로 범주화하여 결과를 도출하였다. 연구결과: 첫째, 유아들은 증강현실 음악활동을 접하면서 감각적 지식 공유의 가능성을 보여주었고, 둘째, 확장된 경험 공유의 가능성을 엿볼 수 있게 하였다. 셋째, 유아들은 음악활동 내용을 연계로 한 놀이 구성을 추구하고 있었다. 이러한 결과로 증강현실에 기초한 유아 음악활동 활용의 가능성을 파악할 수 있었다. 연구결론: 본 연구는 증강현실을 기반으로 하는 음악활동이 매체로서 뿐만 아니라, 유아들의 놀이구성에서도 중요한 역할을 하고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이를 바탕으로 디지털 시대를 살아가는 디지털 네이티브로서 유아들에게 바람직한 교육 방향을 제시하는 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있다는 점에서 그 가치를 두고자 한다.

영문 초록

Purpose: This study explored young children's responses to augmented reality-based music activities and aimed to explore the potential of AR music activities in early childhood education. Methods: In this study, 20 five-year-old children and one teacher participated in a music-centered kindergarten located in F city, and the researcher observed the children's music activities twice a week for two months from January to February 2023. Data collection included video recordings of young children's musical activities, observation records, interviews with teachers, etc.. The recorded data were analyzed and the contents of the collected data were inductively categorized and the results were derived. Results: First, young children demonstrated the potential for knowledge sharing while interacting with the augmented reality music program, and second, the potential for extended experience sharing. Third, it was found that young children pursued play organization by linking musical activities. As a result, we were able to identify the possibility of music activities for young children based on augmented reality. Conclusion: This study found that music activities based on augmented reality play an important role not only as a medium but also in children's play composition. Based on this, the value of digital natives living in the digital age can be used as basic data to suggest desirable educational directions for young children.
