국문 초록

본 연구는 잠재프로파일분석을 활용하여 읽기에 어려움이 있는 초등학교 학생들의 읽기능력에 따른 시선처리 특성을 분석하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 학습부진으로 선별된 S시 소재 초등학생 32명을 대상으로 읽기 검사 결과에 따라 하위 집단을 분류하였고, 읽기유창성과 묵독유창성 검사에서 나타난 시선의 움직임을 측정하여 잠재집단별 시선처리 특성을 비교·분석하였다. 그 결과, 읽기 검사에 따른 잠재집단은 5개의 집단으로 구분되었으며, 잠재집단별 읽기 검사 점수의 차이가 유의하게 나타났다. 잠재집단별 시선처리 변인에 관해서는 읽기유창성 검사의 총 고정시간과 회귀 수에서 집단 간에 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 시선의 고정 수, 회귀 수, 도약 수가 잠재집단 분류에 유의한 변인인 것을 확인하였다. 마지막으로 연구 결과를 토대로 교육적 시사점 및 후속 연구를 위한 제언에 대해 논의하였다.

영문 초록

This study analyzes the eye tracking characteristics associated with the reading ability of elementary school students with learning difficulties by using the LPA(latent profile analysis). A total of 32 elementary school students in S city were classified based on the results of the reading test. Eye tracking characteristics of each latent group were compared and analyzed by measuring the movement of the gaze in the reading fluency and silent word reading test. As a result, LPA identified five subgroups with patterns of strengths and weakness in the reading tests. There was a significant difference in the reading test scores for each latent group. Regarding the eye tracking variables for the latent groups, there was a statistically significant difference between the groups in both the total fixation time and regression in the reading fluency test. In addition, it was confirmed that the number of fixed gazes, the number of regressions, and the number of saccades were significant variables in the classification of the latent group. Based on these results, Implications of these results and suggestions for follow-up studies were discussed.
