한국어 표준 발음법 제12항의 문제점 및 수정 방안에 대한 연구

국문 초록

요즘 한국 문화와 한국어에 대한 관심을 갖고 배우는 학습자들이 급증하고 있다. 한국어를 배우는 과 정에서 한국어 발음을 먼저 배우는 것은 필수적이다. 한국어를 처음 접하는 학습자들에게는 한국어 표 준 발음법을 통해 한국어 발음이 정확한지를 판단할 수밖에 없다. 그 계기로 국립국어원에서 『한국어 문규정』을 재정하였다. 표준 발음법과 관련된 규정은 『한국어문규정』에서 다루고 있는 것으로 확인할 수 있다. 그러나 표준 발음법을 자세히 살펴보면 여러 가지 문제점들이 드러나 있다. 전문가들은 이에 대해 수차례를 수정하였지만 문제점이 여전히 존재한다는 것이 사실이다. 본 연구는 『한국어문규정』 에서 다루고 있는 표준 발음법을 가지고 연구를 진행하려고 했다. 이 중에 흥미로운 것은 바로 제12항 에서 다루는 ‘ㅎ’과 관련된 조항들이다. 제12항에서 ‘ㅎ’과 관련된 내용을 따로 규정한 것은 ‘ㅎ’의 복잡 성과 특수성을 가지고 있기 때문이다. 비록 ‘ㅎ’ 관련 내용을 따로 규정하였지만 내용 표현, 음운 현상, 예문 제시에 있어서 많은 문제점이 존재할 뿐만 아니라 많은 학자들도 이에 대해 많은 의견을 제시하였 으나 심층적으로 다루지 못하였다. 따라서 본 연구는 표준 발음법 제12항에 대해 자세히 분석하고 이 를 바탕으로 수정 방안도 함께 제시하였다.

영문 초록

These days, the number of learners who are interested in Korean culture and Korean language is increasing rapidly. In the process of learning Korean, it is essential to learn Korean pronunciation first. For learners who are new to Korean, they have no choice but to judge whether Korean pronunciation is accurate through the standard Korean pronunciation method. As an opportunity, the National Institute of Korean Language enacted the 『Korean Language Regulations』. It can be seen that the regulations related to the standard pronunciation method are covered in the 『Korean Language Regulations』. However, a closer look at the standard pronunciation method reveals various problems. Experts have revised this several times, but it is true that the problem still exists. This study attempted to conduct a study with the standard pronunciation method covered in 『Korean Language Regulations』. Interesting among these are the provisions related to ‘h’ covered in paragraph 12. Paragraph 12 separately stipulates the contents related to ‘h’ because it has the complexity and specificity of ‘h’. Although the contents related to ‘h’ were separately defined, there were many problems in content expression, phonological phenomenon, and example presentation, and many scholars suggested many opinions on this, but they could not be dealt with in depth. Therefore, this study analyzed the standard pronunciation paragraph 12 in detail and presented a correction plan based on this.
