상호 또래교수 활동 과정에서 수학 학습부진학생의 정의적 영역 변화 사례 분석

국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 수학 학습부진학생의 수업 결손을 보충하고 학생에게 성공 경험을 제공하기 위한 하나의 방안으로 상호 또래교수 전략을 제안하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 수학 학습부진학생을 수학 성취도가 중학교 단계까지 학교에서 중 수준 이상이었지만 고등학교에 진학하여 상대적으로 낮아진 학생으로 정의하고, 수학 학습부진학생 4명을 대상으로 상호 또래교수 활동 과정에서 나타나는 정의적 영역의 변화에 초점을 맞추어 그 장점과 역할을 살펴보았다. 상호 또래교수 활동은 사전 검사와 사후 검사 및 사전 훈련을 포함하여 약 3개월에 걸쳐 진행되었다. 연구 결과, 대체로 상호 또래교수 활동은 전반적으로 수학 학습부진학생의 정의적 영역에 긍정적인 변화를 가져왔다. 연구에 참여한 4명의 학생이 모두 동일한 양상의 변화를 보이지 않고 학생별로 긍정적인 변화의 하위 요소가 다르게 나타났지만, 상호 또래교수 활동은 모든 학생에게 긍정적인 변화를 경험하는 기회를 제공하였다. 특히 또래학습자의 역할보다 또래교수자의 역할이 정의적 영역의 긍정적 변화에 도움이 되는 것으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to suggest Reciprocal Peer Tutoring for mathematics underachieving students as one way of the instructional strategies to supplement their lack of mathematics learning and provide them with success experiences in learning mathematics. We defined mathematics underachieving student as the student whose mathematics achievement was high or middle level in the middle school but became lower in high school. 4 mathematics underachievers voluntarily participated in this study. We examined the effects and roles of Reciprocal Peer Tutoring by focusing on their positive change in the affective domain. Reciprocal Peer Tutoring were conducted for about 3 months including pretest, posttest and pre-training. As the results of this research, Reciprocal Peer Tutoring have generally made the positive changes in the affective domain of mathematics underachieving students. Although 4 students did not show the same pattern of change and the sub-elements of positive change were different for each student, Reciprocal Peer Tutoring provided opportunities for all students to experience positive change. The role of peer teachers is more positive than the role of peer learners.
