국문 초록

딥러닝(Deep Learning)과 컴퓨터 비전의 응용은 urban analytics(도시분석)의 발전에 기여하였다. Remote sensing(원격 탐사) 기술의 고도화로 축적된 다양한 데이터는 딥러닝 기반 방식으로 지리분석 문제를 해결할 새로운 기회가 된다. 현재의 GIS(지리정보시스템)은 이러한 데이터를 분석하여 딥러닝 모델을 효과적으로 구축하는 것이 가능하다. 본 논문에서는 computer vision과 연계된 urban analytics에 대한 배경지식을 설명하고, ArcGIS 프로그램을 사용하여 object detection(객체 탐지)과 land cover classification(토지피복분류) 문제를 딥러닝 알고리즘으로 해결하는 과정을 소개한다.

영문 초록

At the core of artificial intelligence, deep learning (DL) applications to computer vision have been highly successful especially when equipped with input data of better quality. One particular field where this progress is seen is urban analytics. The state-of-the-art Geographic Information System (GIS) can leverage artificial intelligence techniques to perform complex visual tasks through computer vision. In this article, we select ArcGIS as our mode to illustrate the practical use of deep learning and GIS in the cases of object detection and land cover classification.
