뉴실버세대의 라이프스타일에 따른 건강관리 고찰연구

국문 초록

현재 우리나라는 초저출산과 더불어서 급격한 고령화가 진행되고 있다. 초 고령화 사회로 치닫고 있는 시점에서 국내에는 ‘뉴실버세대’라는 신조어가 등장하였다. 본 연구에서는 석·박사 학위 논문들을 조사하여 실버세대와 뉴실버세대를 분석하여 비교하였고, 뉴실버세대의 개념과 특징을 선행연구를 토대로 문헌을 고찰하였다. 뉴실버세대의 라이프스타일을 파악하고자 라이프스타일의 역사적 배경과 라이프스타일의 개념을 외국 철학자와 국내 철학자의 관점에서 고찰하였다. 또한 뉴실버세대의 라이프스타일을 토대로 건강관리 방향성을 제안하기 위하여 건강관리 행동, 실버세대와 뉴실버세대의 건강관리 실태를 파악하기 위해서 건강관리 선행연구를 통하여 고찰 연구하였다. 실버세대는 노년층을 달리 이르는 용어인데, 노인의 흰 머리를 긍정적으로 해석한 용어이다. 실버세대에서 파생된 뉴실버세대는 나이와 상관없이 굉장히 활동적으로 여생을 즐기고 사회적 활동에 적극적으로 참여하는 고령 세대를 의미한다. 뉴실버세대는 은 은퇴 이후 자신의 삶을 제2의 시작이라고 보고 자식에게 의존하지 않고 경제적 능력을 기반으로 여가, 여행, 취미, 문화 활동, 소비 등을 관심을 두고 그들만의 라이프스타일을 창조해나가고 있었다. 또한 뉴실버세대의 라이프스타일을 토대로 분석한 결과 이들은 외모와 신체 건강을 관심을 가지고 적극적인 관리를 하고 있다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구를 통해 향후 뉴실버세대의 라이프스타일에 적합한 건강관리 방안에 도움이 되는 기초적 자료가 되길 기대한다.

영문 초록

Currently Korea is a fast-aging country with extremely low birth rate. Moving toward a super-aging society, Korea has devised a neologism ‘New Silver Generation’. Master’s and doctor’s thesis are reviewed in this article to analyze and compare concepts: Silver Generation and New Silver Generation. And the literature review is conducted based on previous research to investigate a concept and characteristics of New Silver Generation. To find out their life style, the historic background and concept of the life style are reviewed from the perspectives of foreign and Korean philosophers. In addition, the previous studies on health management are reviewed to look into health management behavior and status between Silver Generation and New Silver Generation so as to find the right direction in the health management based on New Silver Generation’s life style. Silver Generation refers to the aged as a term to positively interpret hair that turns silver with age. New Silver Generation derived from Silver Generation stands for older generation who enjoys the rest of their life actively and engage in social activities regardless of their age. New Silver Generation considers their life after retirement as the second chapter and pay attention to leisure, journey, hobby, cultural activity, and consumption without relying on their children but creating their own life style. Plus, it turns out they are interested in their appearance and physical health and try to carefully manage their health when analyzing their life style. It’s expected to see this study could provide basic data helpful for health management appropriate for the life style of New Silver Generation.
