영문 초록

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of COVID-19 on the casino industry and future development strategies. Method: The damage status of the COVID-19 casino industry was reviewed based on information from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Results: Due to COVID-19, foreign-only casinos were unable to enter foreign customers, confirming that their business performance is rapidly deteriorating. Conclusion: By introducing non-face-to-face services (video streaming, live streaming, iGaming, social casino, etc.) utilizing ICT technology, the COVID-19 crisis could be overcome and the escape of foreign-only casino customers (VIP, Mass, etc.) could be prevented. Interdisciplinary Research Implications: This study is a study on the casino industry and interdisciplinary research with sports might be conducted to find the effects of COVID-19 on the wider aspects of Integrated Resort.
