국문 초록

최근에 도서지방이 여행과 관광의 대상으로 주목받고 있다. 관광의 형태도 소비자의 라이프스타일 변화로 70, 80년대 유행했던 단순 관광의 지표에서 이제는 재충전과 휴식의 개념으로바뀌고 있다. 즉 목적이 앞서는 관광이 아니라 차별화되고 쉼을 요구하는 여행으로 전환되고있으며 해외여행도 여행사의 패키지 상품에 의지하기보다는 스스로 준비하고 계획하는 자유여행의 빈도가 높아졌다. 이것은 여행의 주체가 소비자 중심으로 변화되고 있음을 단편적으로 보여주는 것이며 높은타워나 천편일률적인 벽화가 아닌 그곳이 가지고 있는 공간성 즉 그 장소만의 독특한 원형자산을 찾아 삶의 휴식을 추구한다. 따라서 본 연구는 관광이 일차원적인 여행이 아니라 쉼과힐링이 목적이 되는 사람을 위한 여행의 개념을 확장할 필요성에 관해 연구다. 이를 위해 슬로시티 완도 청산도를 중심으로 도서 지역의 문제점들을 살펴보고 현황 파악을 통해서 지속가능한 섬을 만들기 위한 대안을 제시하고자 한다.

영문 초록

In recent years, island regions have been attracting attention as destinations for travel and tourism. The form of tourism is also changing from simple tourism that was popular in the 70s and 80s to the concept of recharging and resting due to changes in consumer lifestyles. In other words, it is not a tourism that precedes the purpose, but a trip that is differentiated and requires rest, and the frequency of free travel that is prepared and planned by oneself rather than relying on package products from travel agencies has increased. This fragmentarily shows that the subject of travel is changing to consumer-centered, and seeks a break in life by finding the unique original asset of the place, that is, the spatiality of the place, not a high tower or one-size-fits-all mural. Therefore, this study is a study on the need to expand the concept of travel for people whose purpose is rest and healing, not tourism. To this end, we will examine the problems of the island region, focusing on the slow city Wando and Cheongsando, and present an alternative to create a sustainable island through an understanding of the current situation.
