숙박업 창업자의 기업가정신과 창업성과에 관한 탐색적 연구

국문 초록

코로나19는 정치, 경제, 문화 등 전(全) 세계적으로 큰 영향을 미쳤으며, 정부의 사회적 거리두기 정책으로 관광산업, 숙박업 등의 구조적인 변화를 가져왔다. 숙박업은 사람 간의 이동을 전제로 사업이 운영되기 때문에 코로나19 이전의 성과로 가기에는 많은 시간이 소요될 것이다. 이러한 환경적인 변화에 대응하기 위하여 숙박업 창업자에게도 기업가정신은 중요한 역할을 하는데, 기업가정신은 기업의 성공과 실패에 영향을 끼칠 수 있기 때문이다. 하지만, 숙박업을 대상으로 기업가정신과 창업성과 간의 관계에 관한 연구는 부족한 실정이다. 이러한 연구 공백을 채우고자 본 연구의 목적은 숙박업 창업자를 대상으로 기업가정신이 창업성과에 영향을 주는지 파악하고자 한다. 특히 선행연구에서 다루어지지 않았던 기업가정신과 창업성과 간의 관계에서 회복탄력성이 조절효과를 하고 있는지 탐색적으로 규명해보고자 한다. 본 연구에서는 숙박업 창업자 101명을 대상으로 빈도분석, 상관분석, 신뢰도 분석, 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 숙박업 창업자의 기업가정신의 ‘위험감수성’은 창업성과 중 ‘재무성과’에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 숙박업 창업자의 기업가정신의 ‘혁신성’과 ‘위험감수성’은 창업성과 중 ‘비재무성과’에 통계적으로 유의미하게 영향을 미쳤다. 셋째, 숙박업 창업자의 기업가정신 중 위험감수성이 창업성과에 있어 ‘재무성과’와 ‘비재무적 성과’ 모두 회복탄력성이 통계적으로 유의미하게 조절효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 숙박업 창업자의 창업성과에 있어 기업가정신이 중요하며 특히 기업가정신의 요소 중 위험감수성이 창업성과에 긍정적 영향을 미치기 위해서는 회복탄력성이 중요한 것으로 나타났다. 향후 지역경제 활성화를 위해서는 다양한 숙박업 창업자 대상 교육에서 기업가정신 함양 교육 이외에 회복탄력성 역량 교육을 운영하여 숙박업 창업자가 위험에 대비하고 경쟁력 있는 기업으로 성장할 수 있도록 지원체계를 구축해야 한다.

영문 초록

COVID-19 has had a great impact worldwide, including politics, economy, and culture, and the government's social distancing policy has led to structural changes in the tourism and lodging industries. Since the lodging industry operates on the premise of movement between people, it will take a lot of time to go to the performance before COVID-19. Entrepreneurship also plays an important role in responding to these environmental changes. This is because entrepreneurship can affect corporate success and failure. However, research on the relationship between entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial performance should be conducted in the lodging industry, but research on this is insufficient. In order to fill this research gap, the purpose of this study is to find out whether entrepreneurship affects entrepreneurial performance for lodging industry founders. In particular, we would like to explore whether resilience is having a moderating effect in the relationship between entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial performance that was not covered in previous studies. In this study, frequency analysis, correlation analysis, reliability analysis, and regression analysis were conducted on 101 start-ups in the lodging industry. The results of the study are as follows. First, it was found that the risk-taking of entrepreneurship of lodging industry founders had a significant impact on “financial performance” among entrepreneurial performance. Second, the innovativeness and risk-taking of the entrepreneurship of the lodging industry founders had a statistically significant impact on “non-financial performance” among the entrepreneurial performance. This can be seen as a basis for improving entrepreneurial performance by recognizing and growing innovativeness and risk-taking which are components of entrepreneurship that are recognized as important competencies for founders. Third, among the entrepreneurship of lodging business founders, risk-taking was found to have a statistically significant moderating effect on both “financial performance” and “non-financial performance” in start-up performance. Entrepreneurship is important in the entrepreneurial performance of lodging business founders, and resilience is especially important in order for risk-taking to have a positive effect on entrepreneurial performance among the factors of entrepreneurship. In order to revitalize the local economy in the future, in addition to entrepreneurship training for various lodging start-ups, a support system should be established so that lodging start-ups can prepare for risks and grow into competitive companies.
