부산거주 베트남 결혼이민여성의 정신건강

국문 초록

연구목적 : 부산에 거주하고 있는 결혼이민여성들 중 베트남 여성들을 대상으로 정신건강 상태를 알아보았다. 방 법 : 부산 여성문화회관에 등록된 결혼이민여성들 중 베트남 여성 63명을 대상으로 하였다. 정신건강 설문지는 국내 정신의학 분야에서 널리 사용되고 있는 척도로 본 연구에서는 모두 베트남어로 재번역하여 사용하였다. 정신건강은 한국판 간이정신진단검사(Symptom Check List-90-Revision), Beck 우울 척도(Beck Depression Inventory), 상태-특성 불안 척도(State-Trait Anxiety Inventory), 자아 존중감 척도(Self-Esteem Scale)를 사용하여 평가하였다. 그리고 사회지지척도(Social Support Scale)와 가족 적응력 및 결속력 평가척도(Family Adaptability and Cohesion Evaluation Scale-III)를 이용하여 사회지지 정도와 가족 내 응집력을 알아보았다. 결 과 : 한국판 간이정신진단검사에서 공포불안이 7명(11.1%), 신체화 5명(7.94%), 불안 4명(6.3%), 우울 2명(3.1%)으로 나타났다. Beck 우울 척도 22점 이상을 받은 경우는 10명(15.9%)이었으며 상태-특성 불안 척도에서 상태불안은 40.13점, 특성불안은 43.97점으로 높게 나타났다. 사회적 갈등은 한국판 간이정신진단검사 척도 중 신체화(r=.34), 강박증(r=.45), 적개심(r=.42), 편집증(r=.36) 4개의 척도와 Beck 우울 척도(r=.33), 상태불안(r=.37), 특성불안(r=.39)과 유의한 양의 상관관계를 보였다. Beck 우울 척도(r=-.33)는 가족응집력과 통계적으로 유의한 음의 상관관계를 보였다. 결 론 : 본 연구는 정신 의학적 관점에서 결혼이민여성들의 정신건강 실태를 조사한 연구라는 점에서 의의가 있다. 그러나 이들의 정신건 강상태에 영향을 미치는 요인을 파악하기 위해서는 더 많은 요인을 포함한 후속 연구가 필요할 것으로 생각된다.

영문 초록

Objectives : The current study examined the status of mental health of Vietnamese women migrants by marriage who are residing in Busan. Methods : Of women migrants by marriage who are enrolled in Busan Women’s Culture Center, 63 were evaluated in the current study. A questionnaire survey about the mental health is a scale which is frequently used in the field of psychiatry in Korea. It was translated into Vietnamese and then used in the current study. The mental health was evaluated based on the Korean version of Symptom Check List-90-Revision, the Beck Depression Inventory, the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI) and the Self-Esteem Scale. In addition, based on the Social Support Scale and Family Adaptability and Cohesion Evaluation Scale (FACES), the degree of social support and the cohesion within the family were evaluated. Results : A Symptom Check List-90-Revision showed that there were seven cases (11.1%) of phobic anxiety, five cases (7.94%) of somatization, four cases (6.3%) of anxiety and two cases (3.1%) of depression. There were ten patients (15.9%) who were given more than 22 points on the Beck Depression Inventory. On the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory, the State-anxiety and the Trait-anxiety were given 40.13 points and 43.97 points, respectively, both of which correspond to a relatively higher value. In addition, the social conflict had a significantly positive correlation with four scales on the Symptom Check List-90-Revision, including the somatization (r=.34), obsession (r=.45), hostility (r=.42) and paranoia (r=.36), and the Beck Depression Inventory (r=.33), the State-anxiety (r=.37) and the Trait-anxiety (r=.39). Furthermore, the Beck Depression Inventory (r=-.33) had a significantly negative correlation with the family cohesion. Conclusion : The current study would be of significance in that it examined the status of mental health from a perspective of psychiatry in women migrants by marriage. Henceforth, however, further follow-up studies are warranted to examine the factors affecting their mental status by considering more variables.
