캡스톤 디자인 기반 교재교구 제작과정에서 나타난 예비유아교사의 경험 탐구

국문 초록

본 연구는 대학 교육에서 보육현장과 연계된 수업을 진행하기 위해 어린이집 보육전문가와 협력적 실행과정을 통해 캡스톤 디자인 기반의 발달지연 및 문제행동 영유아를 위한 교구제작 과정에서 예비유아교사의 경험과 변화의 탐구를 목적으로 하였다. 연구참여자는 경남소재 A대학교 특수보육관련학과 재학 중인 학생 30명을 대상으로 2022년 3월부터 6월까지 15주간 협력적 실행연구를 진행하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 연구에 참여한 학생들의 만족도는 전체 영역에서 보통이상의 만족도를 보였다. 둘째, 캡스톤 디자인 기반 교구의 설계와 제작을 위해 도입, 실행, 적용, 평가 및 마무리 4차례의 협력적 실행과정이 이루어 졌고, 이 과정에서 참여 학생들은 이론적 지식과 보육경험을 바탕으로 팀원 및 보육전문가와 소통과 협력과정을 통해 전공능력, 협동정신, 의사소통능력, 창의적 문제해결능력, 배려, 존중 등의 변화를 보였다. 또한, 교재교구 제작 과정에서 교구와 발달지연에 대한 다양한 지식과 경험이 쌓여 교재교구에 대한 높은 안목이 신장되었다. 본 연구는 캡스톤 디자인 설계와 운영의 기초자료로서 의미를 가지며, 유아교육에 있어 다양한 문제해결능력 신장을 위한 캡스톤 디자인 수업 적용이 가능함을 시사한다.

영문 초록

This study aims to explore the experiences and changes of preservice early childhood teachers in the process of making teaching aids for infants and toddlers with developmental delays and problem behaviors based on the capstone design teaching method. The study was conducted for 15 weeks from March to June 2022 with 30 students enrolled in the Department of Special Child Care at a university in Gyeongnam. The results showed that, first, the satisfaction level of the students who participated in the study was moderate to high in all areas; second, there were four collaborative implementation processes of introduction, execution, application, evaluation, and finalization for the design and production of capstone design-based teaching materials, and in this process, students showed changes in their professional skills, cooperative spirit, communication skills, creative problem-solving skills, consideration, and respect through communication and cooperation with team members and childcare professionals. In addition, during the process of creating the teaching materials, various knowledge and experiences about the parish and developmental delays were accumulated, and a high level of discernment about the teaching materials was developed. This study is significant in that it can serve as a basis for capstone design and operation, and suggests that it is possible to apply capstone design classes to fostering various problem-solving skills in early childhood education.
