토픽모델을 이용한 한중간 전기차 산업의 기술경쟁력 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 전기차 산업에서 한국과 중국의 기술경쟁력을 자연어 빅데이터 처리 기법을 통해 분석하였다. 비교 분석의 기준을 세우기 위해 한국, 미국, 일본, 중국 등 4개국의 특허 초록 데이터를 LDA 모델로 분석하여 전기차 기술을 30 개의 주제(기술)로 구분하였다. 다음으로 한국과 중국의 특허를 다시 토픽모델로 분석하여 각각 27개와 16개의 토픽으로 구분한 다음 키워드 분석을 통해 각각의 토픽을 서로 연결하였다. 그 결과 한국과 중국 모두 셀 모듈 팩 관리와 기계 부품에서 장점을 가진것으로 나타났다. 그런데 양국은 서로 경쟁력을 가진 기술 분야와 서로 경쟁력이 없는 기술 분야가 중복되는 모습을 보였다. 한편, 양국의 특허를 질적으로평가해 보면 한국이 중국보다는 다소 수준이 높았지만, 전반적인 세계 수준 즉, 미국과 일본과 비교해 두 나라 모두 보유 기술의 수준이 높지 않았다. 한중간의 기술적 특성을 고려할 때 한국의 전기차 산업은 중국과의 협력적관계보다 미국이나 일본으로부터 필요한 기술을 도입하거나, 기업간 전략적 제휴를 맺는 것이 필요하다.

영문 초록

This study analyzed the technological competitiveness of Korea and China in the electric vehicle industry through natural language big data processing techniques. In order to establish a standard for comparative analysis, patent abstract data from four countries, including Korea, the United States, Japan, and China, was analyzed with the LDA model to classify electric vehicle technology into 30 technology-specific topics. Next, Korean and Chinese patents were analyzed again using the topic model, divided into 27 and 16 topics, respectively, and then each topic was linked through keywords analysis. As a result, it was found that both Korea and China had advantages in machinery parts and in management of cells, modules and packs. However, the two countries showed overlapping technology fields both competitive technology areas and non-competitive technology areas. When evaluating the quality of patents of both countries, Korea’s level was somewhat higher than that of China’s. However, compared to that of the United States and Japan, countries did not have a high level of technology. Considering the technological characteristics of Korea and China, the electric vehicle industry in Korea needs to introduce necessary technologies from the US or Japan or attempt strategic alliances with companies in these countries rather than a cooperative relationship with China.
