이숭인(李崇仁) 시문에 보이는 포은(圃隱) 인식 고찰

국문 초록

본고에서는 이숭인과 정몽주의 관계 그리고 문인, 학자, 정치가로서의 정몽주의 역량에 대한 이숭인의 인식을 고찰하였다. 정몽주와의 관계에 있어서 이숭인이 정몽주에게 준 시를 고찰한 결과 자인 달가나 호인 포은을 고루 사용하였으나 때로 ‘고우(故友)’, ‘장(丈)’, ‘선생(先生)’ 등의 명칭을 사용하여 ‘동료’, ‘연장자’, ‘스승’으로 인식하고 있음을 보여주었다. 정몽주의 학자로서의 면모에 대해서는 스승인 이색의 평가를 인용하여 ‘탁월(卓越)’하다고 하였으며, 문인으로서의 면모에 대해서는 별도의 평가를 한 바 없으나 시우(詩友)로서 인정한 점이 중양절에서의 모임을 신선놀이에 비유한 시 및 사행 중에 동료에 대한 그리움을 표현한 시 등에서 보인다. 이숭인이 정몽주를 연장자로서 또 스승의 위상으로 평가한 점은 정치·외교적 역량과 절의이다. 이숭인이 일본으로 사신가는 정몽주에게 준 글에서 정몽주의 언변과 기품, 정치적 역량에 대해 표현한 기대, 이성계일파에 의해 차례로 제거되는 위기의 상황에서 끝까지 절의를 지킬 인물로 정몽주를 지목함으로써 자신도 그와 함께 할 것임을 다짐한 시 등에서 이런 점을 확인할 수 있다.

영문 초록

In this paper, Lee Sung-in's perception of the relationship between Lee Sung-in and Chung Mong-ju and Chung Mong-ju's capabilities as a writer, scholar, and politician was examined. As a result of examining the poems given by Lee Sung-in to Chung Mong-ju, it was shown that he used the letters Dalga and Poeun evenly, but sometimes recognized them as “colleague”, “older”, and “leader” using names such as “old friends(故友)”, “elder(丈)”, “teacher(先生)”. Chung Mong-ju's aspect as a scholar was called “excellent”, citing the evaluation of his teacher Lee Saek. Although there was no evaluation on his aspect as a literary man, his recognition as a friend of exchanging poetry. It is seen in poems comparing meetings at Jungyangjeol to a game of gods and poems expressing longing for his colleagues during an envoy activities. The fact that Lee Sung-in evaluated Chung Mong-ju as an elder and a leader is his political and diplomatic competence and respect. This can be seen in Lee's article to Chung Mong-ju, who is going to Japan, the expectations expressed about Chung's speech, dignity, and political capabilities, and the poem he vowed to join him by naming Chung Mong-ju as a person who will keep his bow until the end in a crisis that is eliminated one after another by the Yi Seong-gye faction.
