유아 사회·정서발달의 연구 동향 분석

국문 초록

연구목적: 본 연구의 목적은 유아의 사회·정서발달에 관한 최근의 연구동향을 분석하는 것이다. 이를 위해 2010년부터 2021년까지 국내 학술지에 게재된 논문을 대상으로 연구를 진행하였다. 연구방법: 분석대상은 한국연구재단 등재 및 등재후보지 학술지 논문 226편이었으며, 이를 연구기간, 연구유형 연구주제, 연구방법, 연구대상 5가지 범주로 나누어 빈도와 백분율을 산출하여 분석하였다. 연구결과: 연구결과는 첫째, 2010년 이후 유아 사회·정서발달에 관한 연구는 연도별로 증가와감소를 반복하면서 지속적으로 유지되고 있었다. 둘째, 연구유형별로 살펴보면 유아사회·정서발달 프로그램개발, 교수방법 효과 및 관련변인을 모색하는 실천연구가많았으며, 이론적 고찰과 인식 및 실태연구와 같은 기초연구는 상대적으로 적었다. 셋째, 유아의 사회·정서발달과 관련된 연구주제를 분석한 결과 사회화, 자아개념,도덕성, 정서, 인성 등의 발달을 포함하는 사회·정서발달과 사회발달과 정서발달프로그램을 포함하는 사회·정서발달 프로그램으로 구분되었다. 넷째, 유아의 사회·정서발달 연구에서 가장 많이 사용된 연구방법은 조사연구와 실험연구를 포함하는양적연구로 참여관찰, 심층면담 및 사례연구 등의 질적연구는 상대적으로 적게 이루어졌다. 마지막으로 유아의 사회·정서발달과 관련된 연구대상의 연구동향을 분석한결과 유아에 대한 연구의 비중이 가장 컸다. 대부분의 연구가 유아를 대상으로 이루어졌으며, 교사와 부모를 대상으로 한 연구는 매우 적었는데, 이는 유아에게 활동과프로그램을 적용한 연구의 비중이 컸기 때문으로 볼 수 있다. 연구결론: 이러한 결과는 향후 유아의 사회·정서발달과의 관계에서 이루어지는 연구에 시사점을 제공할 수 있을 것이다. 변화하는 사회 속에서 유아기 사회·정서발달의 중요성을 강조하는 국내 학술지 논문의 전반적인 연구 동향을 살펴보는 것은 유아 사회교육의 후속 연구를 위한 의미 있는 과정이라 할 수 있겠다.

영문 초록

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze recent research trends about earlychildhood social and emotional development in early childhood education. For thispurpose, the research was conducted on papers published in domestic journals from2010 to 2021. Methods: The subjects of the analysis were 226 articles in the journals of the Korea ResearchFoundation, and the frequency and percentage were calculated and analyzed bydividing them into five categories: research period, research topics, researchmethods, and research subjects. Results: The results of this study are as follows. First, the study on the social and emotionaldevelopment of young children since 2010 has been continuously maintained byrepeating the increase and decrease by year. Second, in terms of research types,there were many practical researches that explored the development of social andemotional development programs for young children, the effects of teaching methods,and related variables, and there were relatively few basic researches such astheoretical considerations, perceptions, and actual conditions. Third, as a result ofanalyzing the research theme related to the social and emotional development of youngchildren, it was divided into social and emotional development including socialization,self-concept, morality, emotion, personality, and social and emotional developmentprograms including social development and emotional development programs. Fourth,the most frequently used research method in the study of young children's social andemotional development was quantitative research including survey research andexperimental research, and relatively few qualitative researches such as participantobservation, in-depth interview and case study were conducted. Finally, as a result ofanalyzing the research trends of the subjects related to the social and emotional development of young children, the proportion of research on young children was thelargest. Most of the research was conducted on young children, and there were veryfew studies on teachers and parents, which can be attributed to the large proportion ofresearch that applied activities and programs to young children. Conclusion: These results suggest implications for the future discussion of the research that willbe carried out in relations to the social and emotional development with early children. It would be useful to scrutinize general research trends in Korea journal articlesemphasizing the importance of early childhood social and emotional development inearly childhood in a changing society.
