유아들의 철학적 탐구공동체 활동 연구에 활용된 그림책 선정 및 토의주제 분석

국문 초록

연구목적: 본 연구는 2000년 이후 실시된 ‘그림책을 활용한 철학적 탐구공동체 활동’에 관한 연구논문 20편에서 사용된 그림책의 특성과 유아들이 선정한 토의주제의 특징을 텍스트 마이닝, 토픽 모델링(LDA)방법으로 분석함으로써, 유아의 철학적 탐구공동체 활동의 의미를 보다 심층적으로 알아보려는 데에 기본 목적을 두고 있다. 연구방법: 2000년부터 2021년까지 유아를 대상으로 그림책을 활용하여 철학적 탐구공동체 활동을 실시한 연구논문 20편에서 사용된 그림책 137권의 활용도, 장르 및 연구 별 선정기준에 관하여 분석하고, 텍스트 마이닝과 토픽모델링(LDA) 분석 기법으로 철학적 탐구공동체 활동 중 유아들이 선정한 토의주제에 나타난 키워드의 특징을 분석하였다. 연구결과: 1) 철학적 탐구공동체 활동을 위해 채택된 그림책의 선정기준은 철학, 유아, 문학적,예술적, 연구특성, 기타 등으로 범주화 되고 있었다. 그림책의 장르별로는 이야기그림책이 120권으로 가장 많았으며, 앤서니 브라운의 『돼지책』이 가장 높은 빈도로 철학적 탐구공동체 활동에서 사용되었다. 2) 텍스트 마이닝 기법으로 검토한 결과, 토의주제 키워드의 가장 높은 빈도는 ‘사랑’으로 나타났으며, N-gram에 의하면 ‘이기심-배려’, ‘차이-의사소통’, ‘가족-사랑’등 단어쌍이 가장 많이 나타났다. TF-IDF 결과에서는, ‘사랑’이 문서 내 가장 높은가중치를 가지고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 연결중심성에서는 ‘가족’이 네트워크 안에서 다른 키워드들에게 가장 큰 영향을 미치고 있었다. LDA(토픽모델링) 분석방법에 의하면, 5개의 토픽으로 나뉘었으며, ‘토픽 2(서로의 차이를 배려하기)’가 메인 토픽으로 나타났다. 연구결론: 유아교육 현장에서 그림책 읽기 및 관련 주제 파악과 철학적 탐구공동체 활동 또는이야기 나누기 활동을 진행함에 있어서, 이상의 연구 결과는 유아교사들로 하여금 그림책과 관련한 주제와 대화 또는 토의 방향을 예측하고 유아의 철학적 사고 확장을지원하는 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

Purpose: The main purpose of this study is to gain a deeper understanding of the meaningand research trend of children's philosophical inquiry community activities byanalyzing the characteristics of picture books applied in 20 research papers on “philosophical inquiry community activities using picture books” conducted after 2000,and the features of discussion topics selected by children, through text mining andtopic modeling (LDA) method. Methods: It is to be analyzed the utilization, genre, and selection criteria of 137 picture booksused in 20 research papers that conducted philosophical inquiry community activitiesusing picture books for young children from 2000 to 2021. The characteristics ofkeywords that appeared in the discussion topics selected by children duringphilosophical inquiry community activities using text mining and topic modeling (LDA)analysis techniques were analyzed. Results: 1) The selection criteria for the picture books adopted for philosophical inquirycommunity activities were categorized into philosophy, children, literary, artistic,research characteristics, and others. Among the genres of picture books, storypicture books were the most common with 120 books, and Anthony Brown's “The Piggybook” was the most frequently used for philosophical inquirycommunity activities. 2) According to the results of text mining, the highest frequency of discussion topickeyword was “love”, and N-grams showed that word pairs such as “selfishness-care”, “difference-communication”, and “family-love” appeared mostfrequently. In the TF-IDF results, “love” was shown to have the highest weight inthe document. In terms of network centrality, “family” had the greatest influenceon other keywords within the network. The LDA analysis method divided the topics into five, and “Topic 2” were designed as the main topic. Conclusion: In the field of early childhood education, the results of this study can be applied asbasic materials to support children's philosophical thinking expansion by helping earlychildhood educators predict the topics and directions of conversations or discussionsrelated to picture books and utilize them in philosophical inquiry community activitiesor story-sharing activities.
