사회적경제기업의 지속가능경영이 기업성과에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 기존의 비영리기업을 한계를 뛰어넘는 대안 경제이자 제4섹터의 역할을 수행 하는 (예비)사회적기업, (사회적)협동조합, 마을기업, 자활기업, 소셜벤처 등 사회적경제기업의 지속가능성을 높이기 위해서 지속가능경영이 기업성과에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고 이를 통해서 사회적경제기업의 지원정책 및 실무적 시사점을 도출하고자 조직민첩성에 대한 매개효과를 분석하였다. 기존의 영리기업과 달리 사회문제를 해결하는 대안 경제가 대두되면서, 사회적성과와 경제적성과를 이중적으로 추구하는 사회적경제기업의 연구가 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 또한, 양적인 성장을 벗어나 자생력과 조직력에 대한 장기적인 전략이 필요함에 따라 사회적 문제를 해결하면서 시장경쟁력을 높이는 지속가능경영은 사회적경제기업의 한계를 극복하는 중요한 요인이며, 조직민첩성을 통해 고객과 운영에 대한 유연성에 대해 영향분석을 하는 것이 중요한 의미가 있다고 볼 수 있다. 본 연구를 위해 사회적경제기업의 종사자를 대상으로 자료를 수집하여 총 179부의 표본을 활용하였다. 검증결과 사회적경제기업은 지속가능경영인 경제적책임, 사회적책임, 환경적책임이 기업성과에 유의한 영향을 미치고, 고객민첩성은 사회적책임과 환경적책임 간의 정(+)의 영향, 운영민첩성은 경제적책임과 사회적책임이 정(+)의 영향을 미친다. 마지막으로 지속가능경영과 기업성과간의 고객민첩성과 운영민첩성은 부분매개효과를 나타났다. 연구결과로 경제적가치와 사회적가치를 추구하는 사회적경제기업의 구성원들에게 고객민첩성과 운영민첩성은 조직의 효과와 생산성을 향상하며 기업의 새로운 비즈니스를 창출하여 기업성과를 증가시키는 중요한 요인이라는 입증되었으며, 실무적으로는 내부구성원의 미션공유와 정확한 업무분장을 통한 개인별 역량강화프로그램으로 조직구성원을 통해 조직력을 강화 해야 하며, 정책적으로는 이중성과목표를 가진 사회적경제기업에 대한 통합적인 지원프로그램과 더불어 양적인 육성정책을 넘어서 네트워크 및 이해관계자간의 협력을 중심으로 후속지원사업이 수반되어야 한다. 이와 같은 시사점에 불구하고 사회적경제기업의 유형별 특성이 존재하는 점에서 사회적경제기업의 유형인 (예비)사회적기업, (사회적)협동조합, 마을기업, 자활기업, 소셜벤처로 구분하여 후속연구가 필요하다.

영문 초록

In this study, the effect of sustainable management on corporate performance was analyzed to derive support policies and practical implications for social economy companies in order to increase the sustainability of social enterprises such as (preliminary) social enterprises, (social) cooperatives, village enterprises, self-support enterprises, and social ventures. Unlike existing for-profit companies, as an alternative economy that solves social problems has emerged, research on social and economic companies that pursue social and economic performance is actively being conducted. In addition, as long-term strategies for self-sufficiency and organizational power are needed beyond quantitative growth, sustainable management, which increases market competitiveness while solving social problems, is an important factor in overcoming the limitations of social economy companies. For this study, data were collected from workers in social economy companies and a total of 179 samples were used. As a result of the verification, social responsibility, and environmental responsibility of sustainable management have a significant impact on corporate performance, customer agility has a positive (+) effect on social responsibility and environmental responsibility, and operational agility has a positive (+) effect on economic responsibility and social responsibility. Finally, customer agility and operational agility between sustainable management and corporate performance showed a partial mediating effect. For social and economic enterprises pursuing economic and social values, customer agility and operational agility should be an important factor in improving organizational effectiveness and productivity, creating new businesses, and strengthening individual capabilities through internal members' mission sharing and accurate division of work. Despite these implications, follow-up studies are needed by dividing them into (preliminary) social enterprises, (social) cooperatives, village enterprises, self-support enterprises, and social ventures, as there are characteristics of each type of social economy enterprise.
