만 3세 남아의 이성 또래 친구 관계에 대한 단일 사례 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 만 3세 남아의 이성 친구 관계에 대한 단일 사례 연구이다. 본 연구대상은 만 3세 남아이며, 가족관계는 맞벌이하는 아버지와 어머니, 3살 많은 누나로 구성된다. 2010년 9 월부터 12월까지 8차례에 걸쳐 놀이 상황을 관찰하여 전사하였다. 전사한 내용을 기준으로 친구 관계 형성 과정, 이성 친구에 대한 마음, 이성 친구에 대한 관계의 변화, 이성 친구와의 놀이 형태와 관련된 행위를 해석학적으로 해석하였다. 그 결과 만 3세 남아는 이성 또래 친구 형성과정을 1단계부터 5단계까지 모두 경험하고, 이성 친구에 대한 마음은 친구 이상의 감정으로 인식할 수 있었다. 또한, 이성 친구와의 관계 변화는 초기 1~5차시 관찰까지는 연구대상 남아가 여아를 좋아하였으나 6차시부터 좋아하 지 않았다. 이성 친구와의 놀이 형태에서도 남아는 여아를 좋아하는 정도가 클수록 여아의 놀이 스타일에 맞추었지만, 남아가 여아를 좋아하는 정도가 감소하자 자기가 좋아하는 동성 놀이로 변화하였다. 결론적으로 만 3세 남아는 이성 친구와의 친구 관계 형성을 1~5단계를 경험하면서 타인 의 마음을 이해하고 상호작용하는 기술과 다양한 놀이방법을 습득하였다. 이를 통해 어린 나 이에서부터 동성뿐 아니라 이성 친구와의 관계 맺음을 긍정적으로 바라보고 관계를 격려해 주고 조언해 주는 것이 필요하다고 생각한다.

영문 초록

This research is a case study of a 3-year-old boy's heterosexual friendship. Thesubject’s family members are composed of parents, both of whom are working intheir career and his elder sister who is three years older than him. From Septemberto December 2010, we observed the boy’s behaviour patterns eight times while hewas p[aying with his female friend . Then the 8 observations of play situations weretranscribed later by hand. Based on the description, we interpreted how the processof forming friendship with the opposite sex was going, what he thought about hisfemale friend, how the relationship changed, and how the forms of play proceeded. We found that the 3-year-old boy went through the same processes of formingfriendship from 1st to 5th stage with his female friend as with his peers of the samesex. We also found that the subject seemed to feel affection towards his femalefriend by showing behaviors that can be perceived as more than just friendship. Also,the relationship between the boy and the girl changed from the first to the fifthperiod as seen by the case between male friends. The study show the tendency thatwhen the boy likes the girl more than she likes him, he tries to play what the girllikes, while when his level of affection decreases, he plays his own favorite play. In conclusion, the 3-year-old boy learned the skills to understand and interact withhis female friend while experiencing 1 ~ 5 stages of forming friendship. Those skillsalso made it possible for the boy to play a variety of games. This suggests that it isnecessary for the parents or the caretakers to positively recognize children’srelationship with his or her apposite sex and encourage their friendship by givingadvices to the children.
