비대면 온라인 수학 수업 사례: ‘이산수학’과 ‘미적분’ 과목 중심으로

국문 초록

이 연구는 대학생 대상 이산수학과 고등학생 대상 미적분 수업을 비대면 온라인 방식으로진행한 사례를 소개하고 장단점을 분석하여 비대면 수업의 질을 향상하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 2020년과 2021년에 걸쳐 진행하였던 온라인 수학 수업에 관련된 텍스트, 동영상및 학생들의 과제 등의 자료를 수집하여 사례 연구의 일환으로 내용을 분석하였다. 그 결과 대학생 대상의 이산수학 강의는 주로 실시간 화상수업으로 진행되면서 C와Mathematica 프로그래밍 도구를 사용하고 과제 수행과 발표 시연을 겸하여 문제를 해결하는 역량을 함양하는 특징을 보여주었다. 고등학생 3학년 대상의 미적분 수업은 대학 입시준비로 구글 Meet와 OBS Studio를 활용한 실시간 화상 수업과 문제풀이 위주의 단계별 설명을 해 나갔으며 칠판 수업을 동영상으로 촬영하여 제공하는 혼합 형태를 띠었다. 두 개의수업 사례를 비교 고찰하여 비대면 온라인 수업 진행에서 어려웠던 부분과 보완해야 할 점등을 파악하였으며 온라인 수업에 대한 학생들의 응답을 파악하여 향후에 보완해야 할 부분을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to improve the quality of non-face-to-face classes by introducing cases of non-face-to-face online calculus classes for college students and calculus classes for high school students. To this end, we collected data such as texts, videos, and student outcomes related to online math classes conducted over 2020 and 2021 for analyis and interpretation as part of a case study. As a result, the discrete mathematics lectures for university students were mainly conducted as real-time video classes, showing the characteristics of using C and Mathematica programming tools in order to cultivate the ability to solve problems by performing tasks and demonstrating presentations. The calculus class for 3rd grade high school students adopted a mixed form of providing real-time video classes using Google Meet and OBS Studio. The high school teacher mostly dealt with problem-solving step-by-step explanations to prepare for college entrance exams, and provided video recordings of blackboard classes as a supplementary. By comparing and examining the two class cases, we identified several stumbling blocks that would be resolved and suggested future direction for improving the upcoming online math classes.
