수렴검증 및 총 요소생산성 증가율 추이를 통한 지역경제 성장분석

국문 초록

우리나라 16개 광역시도별 제조업 생산성 대상 수렴가설 및 검증을 기간을 확대하여 가설수렴여부를 지역별로 재검증하고 수렴속도의 변화를 확인하고자 한다. 아울러, 분석기간 동안 지역별 총 요소생산성 증가율의 추이를 비교하고, 일인당 부가가치에 영향을 미치는 요인을 패널회귀분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과, 16개 광역시도별 제조업 생산성에 대한 수렴(절대적 및 조건부)이 성립하는 것으로 나타남에 따라, 지역별 소득격차가 다소나마 완화되고 있음을 알수 있다. 수렴속도를 살펴보면, 전국 제조업의 생산성은 절대적 수렴속도측면에서 연간 8%수준으로 수렴하고 있는 반면, 조건부 수렴속도를 고려하면, 약 15.9%수준으로 지역별 제조업의 생산성 격차가 상대적으로 빠른 속도로 해소되고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 16개 광역시·도별 일인당 부가가치 격차의 결정요인을 다양한 요인변수를포함하여 고정효과 모형을 통한 분석결과, 노동(L), 자본(K), 기술진보(g), 연구개발투자(RND)는 모두 부가가치와 정의 관계를 보인 반면, 인적자본(Sh)과 특허건수(PA)에 대한 통계적인 유의성은 없는 것으로 나타나고 있다. 즉, 인적자본에 대한 중요성이 높게 부각되지 못하고 있는 것으로 나타남에 따라 인적자본에 대한 투자가 실제 부가가치에 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 수 있는 다변화된 정책집행이 요구된다.

영문 초록

By extending the period of convergence hypotheses and verification for manufacturing productivity by 16 metropolitan cities in Korea, the purpose of this study is to re-verify the hypothesis convergence by region and to check the change in the convergence speed. In addition, during the analysis period, the trend of the increase rate of total factor productivity by region was compared, and a panel regression analysis was performed on the factors affecting the added value per capita. As a result of the analysis, it was found that convergence (absolute and conditional) for manufacturing productivity by 16 metropolitan and provincial cities was established, indicating that the regional income disparity is somewhat easing. Looking at the speed of convergence, the productivity of the national manufacturing industry is converging to 8% per year in terms of the absolute speed of convergence, while taking the conditional speed of convergence into account, the productivity gap in the manufacturing industry by region is resolved at a relatively fast rate at about 15.9%. could confirm that there was. As a result of analyzing the determinants of the per capita value-added gap in 16 metropolitan cities and provinces through a fixed-effect model including various factor variables, labor (L), capital (K), technological progress (g), and R&D investment (RND) were all While it showed a positive relationship with added value, there was no statistical significance for human capital (Sh) and number of patents (PA). In other words, as the importance of human capital does not appear to be highly emphasized, diversified policy execution is required so that investment in human capital can have a positive effect on actual added value.
