영문 초록

Purpose: This research aimed to examine the possible mediating effects of self-regulated e-Learning attitude on the relationship between college students’ major selection motivation and online learning flow during the COVID-19 situation. Design/methodology/data/approach: For this study, 531 Korean undergraduate students participated in an online survey. The average difference test and model verification were conducted using the SPSS 22.0 and AMOS 20.0 programs. Findings/Results: The major findings showed that the extrinsic major selection motivation was found to increase self-regulated e-learning attitude and online learning flow, and intrinsic major selection motivation had a positive effect on self-regulated e-learning attitude, but had a negative effect on online learning flow. Also, the mediating effect of self-regulated e-learning attitude was significant in its relationship between extrinsic and intrinsic major selection motivations, and online learning flow. Value: This study attempted to expand the understanding of the effect of college undergraduates’ major selection motivation and provide implications to enhance the self-regulation and learning flow in the online-based learning environment.
