국문 초록

일제는 ‘아시아연대론’(亞細亞連帶論)에 입각한 동양평화사상을 강조하였으나, 한국의 주권과 독립을 유린하고, 나아가 중국대륙까지 넘보며 동양평화의 약속을 깨뜨렸다. 안중근은 이 때문에 일본이 이웃나라인 한국과 중국의 원수가 되었으며, 한국인들은 불가피하게 독립전쟁을 벌이게 되었다고 강조하였다. 그는 동양평화를 실현할 수 있는 길은 일제가 한국에 국권을 되돌려 주고, 만주를 비롯한 중국대륙에 대한 야욕을 버려야 할 것이며, 이러한 바탕 위에서 한․중․일 3국이 힘을 합해 서양세력의 동진 침략을 저지해야 한다고 보았다. 본 논문은 안중근의 평화사상의 내용이 어떻게 구성돼 있는지를 먼저 살펴본 다음, 그 의미에 대해 구체적으로 논하고 있다. 두말할 필요 없이 안중근의 동양평화사상은 한국독립의 당위성과 함께 사랑에 기초한 동양 3국의 단결을 강조하고 있으며, 아울러 동북아공동체 건설과 한반도 평화체제 구축의 논거를 제공하고 있다는 점에서 매우 큰 의미를 가진다. 따라서 안중근의 동양평화사상은 단순히 그가 생존했던 시기에만 국한되는 되는 편협한 사상체계가 아니라, 오늘날에도 여전히 영향을 미치는 시대를 뛰어 넘는 보편성을 가지고 있음을 알 수 있다. 동북아지역의 항구적인 평화와 공동 번영을 이룩하기 위해서 안중근의 평화사상을 다시금 조명해야 할 이유는 바로 여기에 있다.

영문 초록

Japanese imperialism emphasized the thought of oriental peace, based on theory of asian solidarity, but it violated on Korea's sovereignty and independence, furthermore, broke the peace of the Orient, dreaming of invasion of the chinese continent. Ahn Choong-Gun stressed that Japan became, for this reason, enemy of it's neighbors, Korea and China. and that Koreans fought inevitably war of independence against Japan. According to Ahn, in order to achieve peace of the Orient, Japanese imperialism should return the national sovereignty to Korea and abandon willingness of the invasion against the chinese continent, including Manchuria. And, based on these preconditions, the three countries, Korea, China and Japan should stop the invasion of Western powers against the Orient. This paper examines, first, the contents of Ahn's thought of peace, and then analyzes specifically it's meaning. Needless to say, Ahn's thought of oriental peace underlines the necessity of independence of Korea and the unity of three oriental countries, based on love. In addition, it provides logical basis for building of a Northeast Asian Community and construction of a peace regime on the Korean Peninsula. These designations assume great architectural significance. Therefore, Ahn's thought is not narrow-minded system of thought, limited only in his survival time, but it has a timeless universality. This is why we need to refocus it, in order to achieve common prosperity of Northeast Asia.
