기후정의와 성경적 정의

국문 초록

기후변화는 이제 다른 그 어떤 것보다도 전지구적으로 영향을 미치는 우선선위의 문제가 되었다. 본고는 기후변화가 국제적으로나 국내적으로 사회경제적으로 취약한 국가나 취약계층의 생존이나 삶의 질에 악영향을 미친다는 사실에 주목하고 이를 기후정의의 관점에서 먼저 살펴보았다. 기후정의는 연혁적으로 환경정의와 밀접한 관계가 있다. 전통적인 정의론으로부터 기후정의의 특징적인 요소들을 추출하여 그 중 배분적 정의와 절차적 정의가 기후정의와 연관성이 있음을 논증하였다. 기독교에서 하나님의 나라는 정의로운 나라로 대변된다. 성경적 정의는 고아, 과부, 나그네, 가난한 자, 병든 자, 소외된 자 등 사회적 약자를 보호하는 것으로 나타나며, 구약성경의 다수의 율법들은 사회적 약자를 보호하기 위한 것이고 아주 구체적으로 실천해야 할 명령규범과 금지규범으로 이루어져 있다. 기후위기로 인하여 고통 받는 자들도 국제적으로나 국내적으로 취약계층인 현실에서 성경적 정의를 탐구하는 것은 의미 있는 작업이다. 성경 속에서 빈번하게 등장하는 공의와 정의의 개념을 약자보호라는 측면에서 검토하며, 성경 속의 법과 제도를 다섯 가지 원리로 추출하고 그것이 현재의 법과 제도 속에서 어떻게 구현되어 있는지를 살펴보았다. 기후정의를 위한 성경 속의 다섯 가지의 원리로는, 안식의 원리(쉼·축복·창조질서의 원리), 희년의 원리(치유·회복의 원리), 만나와 오병이어의 원리(잉여와 낭비·남용의 금지의 원리), 이삭의 원리(나눔의 원리), 초대교회의 원리(나눔과 헌신·희생의 원리)를 들었다.

영문 초록

Climate change has now become the priority issue with global impact more than anything else. This paper deals with the fact that climate change affects the survival and the quality of life of the socio-economically vulnerable countries as well as person of same situation. Climate justice has historically been closely related to environmental justice. By extracting the characteristic elements of climate justice from the traditional theory of justice, it was argued that distributive justice and procedural justice are related to climate justice. In this paper, climate-related policies and laws were divided into domestic and international viewpoint and examined how they were implemented through them. In Christianity, the kingdom of God is represented as a just one. Biblical uustice appears to protect the socially disadvantaged, such as orphans, widows, strangers, the poor, the sick, and the marginalized. Many of the laws in the Old Testament as rules to protect the socially weak consist of ones of command and prohibition that should be practiced. Therefore, this paper suggested five principles after exploring the principles to cope with the current climate crisis. That is, the principle of rest, the principle of jubilee, the principle of manna and the principle of five piece of bread and two fishes, the principle of ear of grain, and the principle of the early church. Such principles are the one of rest, recovery, sharing, prohibition of waste, and sacrifice. The principles make it possible to restore the original creation order. It is a community principle that can restore the global community.
