국문 초록

본 연구는 개인 보호 장비(Level D) 착용이 심폐소생술 수행자의 피로도에 미치는 영향을 파악함으로써 고품질의심폐소생술 수행을 위한 기초자료를 제공하고자 하였다. 연구방법은 응급구조학과 학생 24명을 대상으로 Level D착용 여부에 따라 2회에 걸쳐 2인 가슴 압박 소생술을 30 min 동안 수행하였으며, 시작 전과 각 주기별로 피로도를측정하였다. 연구 결과 Level D 착용 여부와 가슴 압박 반복 주기에 따른 대상자의 혈중 젖산 농도, 심박동수, 산소포화도, 주관적 피로도의 차이는 없었다. 그러나 주관적 피로도 단계 중 ‘약간 힘듦’과 ‘힘듦’ 단계 도달은 Level D 착용시 미착용에 비해 한주기 빠르게 나타나거나 Level D 착용 시에만 나타났다. 특히 2주기에서 ‘약간 힘듦’ 이상을 느끼는 비율이 Level D 착용 시 미착용보다 높았다(p < .05). 이상의 결과 Level D 착용은 심폐소생술 수행 초기부터주관적 피로도 상승 속도를 증가시켰다. 따라서 수행자의 피로도를 감소시킬 수 있는 방안이 마련된다면 고품질의심폐소생술을 유지하는 데 기여할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to provide data on high-quality cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) by determining the fatigue effectson rescuers wearing level D personal protective equipment (PPE) while performing CPR. The study’s methodology entailedthe comparative performance of two-person CPR; once while the participants wore level D PPE and once while they didnot, over the 30 min course in seven cycles. The fatigues of 24 students from the department of emergency medicaltechnology were measured pre-experiment and during CPR, after each cycle was measured. In this study, there were nodifferences in the blood lactate concentration, heart rate, oxygen saturation and subjective fatigue participants with orwithout level D PPE over the course of repeated CPR cycles. However, participants wearing level D PPE typically displayedthe ‘somewhat hard’ and ‘hard’ stages of subjective fatigue a cycle faster than those not wearing level D PPE. Specifically,the proportion of such participants who reached more than the ‘somewhat hard’ stage of fatigue in the second cycle washigher than that among those not wearing level D PPE (p < .05). Consequently, wearing level D PPE was found to increasethe rate of subjective fatigue from the early course of performing CPR. Therefore, rescuers will be able to provide higherquality CPR if measures are conducted to reduce fatigue.
