동무 이제마 철학사상의 사상한적 고찰

국문 초록

동무 이제마(1837-1900)의 철학사상은 칼융(C. G. Jung;1875-1961)의 심리학과 대비·연구되어 왔으며;최근에는 통합심리학자 윌버(Ken Wilber;1949-)의 사상한(AQAL: All Quadrant;All Level)과도 형식면에서 적확(的確)하게 일치한다는 사실이 지적되었다. 동무의 사상설과 윌버의 사상한 설정(設定)의 이론적 기저는 동일하다. 내용면에서는 윌버의 그것이 과학;도덕;예술의 진선미(眞善美) 3대 가치를 거시적으로 통합하는 방향이라면;동무의 사상설은 철학의 의학적(醫學的) 확장이라고 할 수 있다. 후에(2000-) 윌버는 실용적 분야에 관심을 갖고 사상한을 의료를 비롯한 정치;경영;과학 등의 영역에 적용시키려는 시도를 감행하는데;진정으로 효과적이고 포괄적인 의료 계획이 되려면 모든 4분면과 모든 수준을 포함해야 한다(=AQAL)고 주장한다. 하지만 일찍이 동무는 4분면;즉 주관[의지적];객관[행동적];간주관[문화적];간객관[사회적] 영역의 의학적·통합적 접근을 모색한 바 있다. 질병·병리 현상에 있어서 환경 요인에 주목하여;사심(邪心)이나 태행(怠行)뿐만 아니라 연령(年齡)이나 시기에 따른 대인관계의 불화;지역(地域)이나 환경에 따른 부조화 등을 질병이 발생하는 원인으로 보고 있다. 이는 기존의 의학이 소홀히 했던 사회적·문화적 요인을 적시(摘示)한 것이다. 이런 점에서 동무의 사상설과 의학사상은 윌버가 지적했던 통합적인 의학과 치료의 전범(典範)이 된다고 말할 수 있다. 나아가 모든 4분면;모든 수준 외에도 윌버는 그의 통합 모델의 요소로 모든 라인;모든 상태;모든 타입을 들고 있는 데;동무 역시 의학적 범위 내에서 이런 요소들의 통합적 접근을 시도하고 있다.

영문 초록

Dongmu Lee Je-ma’s philosophical ideas are compared with C. G. Jung's philosophical ideas and it is in accord with Wilber's All Quadrant in formality. There are;however;some differences between Dongmu and Wilber’s theory in the content. Dongm’s Sa-Sang Theory can be explained by the extension of medicine to the philosophy while Wilber integrates science;morality and arts into broad prospective. After 2000;Wilber was interested in practical fields and tried to apply All Quadrant to politics;management;science as well as medical treatment. He suggests All Quadrant should include AQAL(All Quadrant;All Level) to be effective and inclusive medicine plans. In comparison;Dongmu tried to apply Quarter meaning subjective(intentional);objective(behavioral) and intersubjective(cultural);inter-objective(social) fields into medical and integrated approach. Especially;he noticed environmental factors in Physiology and Pathology;so he considered disease as result of malicious mind;idleness;inter-personal relation trouble and incongruity between their regions and surroundings. It shows the importance of social and cultural factors which have been neglected by medical system. In this point;Dongmu’s Sa-Sang Theory(四象說) and Constitutional Medicine(四象醫學) can be a model to the integrated medicine and treatment Wilber mentioned. Furthermore;apart from AQAL(All Quadrant;All Level);Wilber refers all lines;all status;and all types to his Integrated Model. Dongmu also tries to integrate these factors within the scope of medicine.
