국문 초록

본 연구는 조선조 의주부 고지도, 삭주부 창성, 벽동, 이산, 위원군 고지도를 위상수학적 방법, 기하학적 방법, 대역 기하학적 방법에 의해 분석하고 그 지도의 내용을 설명하고 대응되는 위치를 구글지도에서 찾아보았다. (1) 義州府, 삭주, 창성, 벽동의 고지도들은 북한 압록강 유역의 義州, 삭주, 창성, 벽동 지역을 그린 것임을 밝힌다. (2)이산, 위원 고지도들은 북한의 이산, 위원 지역을 그린 것이 아님을 밝히고 고지도에 대응하는 지역을 찾는다. 많은 사람들은 조선 시대 이산(초산), 위원과 현재의 이산(초산), 위원이 같은 지역인지 아닌지 의심하지 않는다. 고지도를 분석하면 이 두 곳은 일제가 조선의 반도사관을 설정하기 위하여 그 위치를 바꾸어 놓았다는 사실을 알게 된다.

영문 초록

We analysed the old historical map of Euijubu of Chosun by topological and/or geometrical method, and compare it with the neighborhood of North Korea Euiju in the google map by using 1-1 correspondence method. We concluded that the old map of Euijubu is a good topological representation map of the neighborhood of North Korea Euiju. Similarly, we analysed the historical map of Sakjubu, Changseong and Byukdong of Chosun and concluded that they were good representative topological maps of the neighborhoods of Sakjubu, Changseong and Byukdong of North Korea, respectively. We revealed that the locations of Lisan, Wiwon and Ganggeibu of Chosun were not the present locations of Lisan, Wiwon and Ganggei of North Korea. We found the corresponding places of Lisan and Wiwon of Chosun in the historical maps. The analysis of historical maps by topological and/or geometrical method with 1-1 correspondence method is considered to be very powerful tool to reveal whether a historical old map is a topological map of the neighborhood of present places or not.
