국문 초록

본 연구에서는 코로나 19시기에 재학중인 대학생을 대상으로 이들의 대학적응 증진방안을 마련하고자 기본심리욕구, 우울, 스마트폰 의존 및 대학적응 간의 구조적 관계가 어떠한지 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 온라인 설문에 참여한 640명의 대학생을 분석대상으로 선정하였다. 본 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 기본심리욕구(자율성, 관계성, 유능감)는 우울과 스마트폰 의존과 부적 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 대학적응과는 정적 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 우울은 스마트폰 의존과 정적 상관을, 대학적응과는 부적 상관을 보였으며, 스마트폰 의존도 대학적응과 부적 관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 기본심리욕구는 대학적응에 직접적으로 영향을 미쳤을 뿐만 아니라 우울증과 스마트폰 의존을 통해 간접적으로도 영향을 미쳤다. 또한, 다집단 분석한 결과, 스마트폰 의존이 대학적응에 끼치는 영향력은 저학년이 고학년에 비해 더욱 강하게 나타났다. 본 연구는 코로나19로 인한 비대면 상황에서 대학생의 대학적응을 돕기 위한 프로그램 개발의 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

영문 초록

The study examined the structural relationship between basic psychological needs, depression, smartphone dependency, and college adjustment. The participants were 640 university students in Korea. Results were as follows: Basic psychological needs(i.e., autonomy, relatedness, and competence) showed negative correlations with depression and smartphone dependency, while they showed a positive correlation with college adjustment. On the other hand, depression showed positive correlations with smartphone dependency, while it showed a negative correlation with college adjustment. The study found that smartphone dependency also showed a negative relationship with college adjustment. Smartphone dependency showed a statistically significant negative relationship with college adjustment. Basic psychological needs directly influenced college adjustment and indirectly influenced college adjustment through depression and smartphone dependency. Finally, a multi-group analysis indicated that the influence of smartphone dependency on college adjustment was greater in lower-grade students than in upper-grade students. It is expected that the results of this study will serve as basic data to enhance students’ college adjustment. This study also suggested ways to improve students’ college adjustment in non-face-to-face situations caused by COVID-19.
